He wasn't playing well before the hip.

Were you a hall monitor in school?

You clearly don't follow this league you just skim through it.

It's been acknowledged Peyton played the last month of the season injured.

If you take out those final 4 games Peyton had 36 tds and 9 ints. The two games before those final 4 he had 6 tds and no ints.

In what world is a 4 to 1 td to int ratio and 6 uninterrupted touchdowns without an interception "not playing well."

You'd think by now that you know I always research my opinion. It is clear to everyone else by now that you do not.

But please....do try and explain this period of him "not playing well."

We will wait.

I prefer when the media has us at 32nd.

True then again when you are a good team and mentally strong it does not matter where others pick you. Hopefully the Cowboys are at a point that the hoopla and prediction do not matter or play a part in how they play and execute.

First off, when it comes to Peyton, of course it's relative. I'm not calling him Bobby Hoyer.

I'm saying, much of his arm strength is declining, and now we're just one year further down that path. He didn't look like himself in a few games last year, early and late, and now they're putting in a new scheme supposedly.

Are you not skeptical about him running Kubiak's offense? What I've read is that they're going to implement it, and that requires a lot of movement from the quarterback and time under center.

The offensive line was already suspect, and now Clady is gone again, as is Welker.

I don't think Denver makes the playoffs. We'll see.

Why is this crap so personal to you? Geez, lighten up. It's August.

You said he wasn't playing well before the hip.

Before the hip he had 36 tds and 9 ints.

Romo didn't match those numbers for a full season.

You say it's all relative with Peyton. Those 36 tds would be his 4th highest total ever.

Before the hip injury he'd thrown 6 straight td passes.

Explain your "he wasn't playing well before the hip" comment or don't.

But we all see you back tracking.

And you say I take this personally when your first reply to me you called me a "hall monitor."

Wrong and a hypocrite?

The hall monitor was a joke. I thought you'd giggle. Oh well.

Did you watch the Rams game? I did, and he was awful. One game, I know, but there were some less than impressive days for him. And the 36 touchdowns are misleading in that offense because they throw so much from the spread all the time. Not saying it's not impressive - he is Peyton Manning - but Romo could do that, too, in that offense. Dallas ran those in from the two-yard line most of the time.

More and more, Peyton is throwing check downs because his flutter balls down field aren't turning out so good. Again, he's Peyton and he's a football genius, so he can still do it. But wow, that ball looks like a duck these days.

Romo threw the ball a lot less than Peyton. He also threw for almost as many touchdowns and a quite a few less interceptions.

Mostly, I just think the Broncos have gotten too old in the wrong positions. And that new scheme....I believe it when I see them actually play Peyton that way.

I have to say Peyton arm did not look as strong over the 2nd half of the season, it was like it and he was tiring down. He still posted some good yards but he also had twice as many Ints over the last 8 games than he did to start the season had fewer TD passes over the last 8 games. Peyton is still a top QB but I see age catching up to him

Again. That was because of the final month after he was injured.

Anyone saying he wasn't playing well before then is being disingenuous or wasn't aware just how well he was playing to that point.

I think he was playing very good, I do think age is creeping in

They lost Clady, and Peyton's arm gives out by mid-October these days. Welker is gone, too.

A huge problem could be the Kubiak offense. He likes to constantly roll his quarterbacks out, and Peyton doesn't do that. This could be a real clash of styles if he forces his offense on Peyton.

On defense, Ware showed how little he had left last year, and that will only be worse. Wears down quickly.

Peyton has excellent rollout skills, let us not forget :muttley:

lol @ Philly being number 11. Calling it now, Eagles are winning 4, maybe 5 games this season.

As for the Cowboys being number 6... that's fair to me because of the question mark at running back. But as soon as people realize that Jo Randle is as good as Murray, we'll move up those rankings.

I think I would put us at 4, maybe 4b behind Denver at 4a IF Peyton Manning is healthy.

The Colts? lmao. We blew their damn doors off last year. They looked like a pee-wee team against us and even Weeden got in on the touchdown action against that defense when he couldn't see wide open receivers against Arizona earlier in the season.

Otherwise it's nice to actually see a relatively legitimate ranking system that appears to accurately reflect all of the teams' relative rankings.

The point separation between us at 6 and the Steelers at 8 is significant, too.

The Indy game was a meaningless game (for Indy) where they made 2-3 major gaffes early on to put it out of position. The Cowboys definitely stomped them, but I'm not so sure that was a typical performance either.

I don't know they were 500 outside a poor division and blew a lead vs Philly was destroyed by Pitt 51 to 34, NE 42 to 20 and Dallas 42 to 7

Luck is a very good QB, I just don't think the Colts are that great of a team. I think adding Frank Gore to the mix will be a help to them but I still think Colts are a soft team
