After further review ...
OK, it's a day to pile on the defense. That's what happens when you allow 35 points, 438 yards and 6.5 yards per play. But in some situations, they weren't all bad Sunday.
** Fourth down from the Dallas 34 in the first quarter, Ken Hamlin knocks down a pass to tight end Jeremy Shockey.
**Jacques Reeves' interception on a third down that led to Jason Witten's touchdown catch. It helped that Plaxico Burress slipped but Reeves was in good position,
**Reeves' breaking up an Eli Manning heave to Burress in the end zone in the third quarter that forced the Giants to settle for a field goal on their first possession of the second half.
**Anthony Spencer's third-down near-sack of Manning that led to a punt from the New York 26.
**Chris Canty dropping Derrick Ward for a 1-yard loss at the Dallas 10 that eventually led to a field goal in the fourth quarter.
OK, I'm reaching I know. That's all the positivity I could muster.

Who's the next NT?
Any reports saying the Cowboys have already signed nose tackle Remi Ayodele are not true because they cannot be true. Why? He does not officially clear waivers until today. He was cut by Atlanta over the weekend, meaning he spends more than the traditional 24 hours on the wire.
It would make sense for the Cowboys to sign him with Jason Ferguson lost for the year with a biceps injury. He knows the system. The coaches know him. But I wonder if the Cowboys look for a more veteran presence. We'll see who's out there and get back to you.
One name: Dan Wilkinson. Not sure if he's interested in playing football anymore though. Not sure if he'd be interested in playing in a 3-4 as a nose, too.
