Andy Reid on the Cowboys

Philadelphia easily dispatched the New York Giants Sunday and look for its third straight NFC East win in as many weeks Sunday against the Cowboys.

But Eagles coach Andy Reid said Monday he didn't even know his team was 2-0 in the division.

"I'm already into Dallas, by the time I'm sitting here talking I'm deep into Dallas," Reid said. "I don't even care about those last two games right now. You have to take care of business every week. It's good that we won the games, yes, and I'm happy for the guys, they played hard and aggressive and the coaches did a nice job. We can't worry about those games right now."

What does Reid see from the Cowboys?

"I think they're playing aggressive," Reid said. "I think their offensive line and defensive line are playing very physical football. They're giving Tony [Romo] time to get back there and throw and then they match it with a good running game. Defensively, they're flying around. Wade [Phillips] has taken over. They're blitzing from all over the place. They have a whole variety of different blitzes. They're utilizing everybody there."

That's the word from Philly coach Andy Reid about all-everything running back Brian Westbrook.

Westbrook didn't play Sunday against the New York Giants because of a concussion. He has done some working out since getting hurt vs. Washington and was scheduled to do more on Monday. Reid said Westbrook had a slight headache Saturday but he was better Sunday.

"He's not going to do contact, which is not unusual for what we do as a team out there," Reid said of Westrbook's participation on Wednesday. "We'll just see how he feels. He'll go through a normal practice if he can do it."

No kidding I guess Reid is a cup cake. :laugh2: teams get beat up enough without killing each other on the practice field. I wish some around here would get it but I'm afraid some never will.

Yo team, I'm glad you won and I'm really happy for ya, but the Dallas Cowboys are one of the best teams of all time!

You darn near killed the joke. That's good for like once a week, not once a thread.

I think the first play of the game, take the 15 yard penalty and drill Westbrook's head into the turf hard.

And how many Superbowls has Reid won over there in Philly using that approach?

Now if you said the Steelers or Patriots did no contact in practice then that would be a GOOD point. To say perennial losers such as the Eagles do is a BAD point. Isn't that what most of us fans are tired of - choking in the playoffs? Sure the Eagles have done better than us, but they still choke everytime.

Most teams do not have full contact at practice right now most players are dealing with some type of injury even if it is minor and coaches are not going to pound on guys at practice. Last thing they need is to have a guy out of the game because someone on your team clocked a key player. Hell I went to every traing camp the Cowboys had in Austin and Jimmy did not allow them to tackle Emmitt Smith, they came up made contact then backed off.
