Day 1 of the Nick Folk-David Buehler kicking competition went to Folk.

Each took four tries. Folk made two. Buehler made one. It was difficult to judge the distance from where the media had to watch practice.

The conditions were rough. It's pretty cold and they were kicking into the wind. All three of Buehler's misses were to the right.

In other practice news, Ken Hamlin was back on the practice field but there was no sign of DeMarcus Ware, Martellus Bennett or Pat Watkins.

You've heard from David Buehler.

You saw Todd's numbers _ ouch _ on how Buehler and Nick Folk did in today's practice.

Now, you get to hear from Folk.

"I think they are probably questioning it right now,'' Folk said when asked if teammates and coaches are losing confidence in him. "But if we get back on track here, I think we'll get back to where we were.

"My percentage is pretty good inside of 40. It's that 40-49 range I've got to get figured out.''

Folk is 11-of-12 on kicks inside the 40-yard line. He is 4-of-11 from 40 to 49 yards. He went on to say that he believes he and Buehler will push each other and that he has no complaints with Tony Romo as the holder.

"I'm just trying to get back to where it's a good rhythm for me and a good operation,'' Folk said.

Buehler made one.

I think that answers the question why Buehler didn't try the long 50some yarder against the Giants a couple of weeks ago.
