Attention fantasy geeks

ESPN.com's Eric Karabell breaks down the Cowboys' fantasy potential and projects Marion Barber and T.O. as third-round picks. He figures Julius Jones, Tony Romo, Terry Glenn and Jason Witten will be off the board after eight or 10 rounds.

If you're in a league around these parts, bump all the round projections for Cowboys up a bit. There's always a blue-and-silver wearing homer who picks Cowboys too early.

But two Cowboys will be major bargains in my league, where you can keep up to three guys in the round in which they were drafted the previous season. Barber and Romo both went somewhere in the teens, so unless their owners are even dumber than I thought (and one is a real moron), they'll be keepers.

I'll do my best not to beat you down with talk about my fantasy team during the season. You will get a Full Fantasy Disclosure before each game, featuring the Cowboys and opponents that are starting for me or my foe that week. I figure it's best to reveal my biases.

Romo and Terry Glenn helped me win my league last year. I see TO in the 3rd because you NEED 2 RBs before you choose the first WR. Romo would be behind Manning,Palmer, Brady, Bulger, Hasselback and MAYBE Kitna. The "experts" that think Vick,VY/6 and co. will outperform Romo as a QB will get trashed! :)

Instead of Barber, Mauricew Jones-Drew is a much better pick.

a little comparison between jones and barber i thought id post

i really hate how writers are biased and only present facts that help their cause and ignore the others.

what would you rather he say? In Fantasy Football, stats are everything.

Im sure when FF starts to give points to RBs based on how much they are told to run like a robot by their coach, then this guy will probably have to re-write it all and put Julius ahead of Marion.

I've actually seen several rankings that have T.O. ranked as the #1 Wideout. You can take it for what its worth but thats not out of the question. He could catch 1700 yards and score 15 TD's if he stays healthy.

Too low for T.O. (2ND)

Actually most Fantasy experts advise taking a RB with your First two picks so following that a third for TO is probably about right.

Not necessarily true - depends on the size of the league. In a smaller league you can easily go without picking 2 RB's first.

I think Witten is going to be a big fantasy player this year, I also think he's going to be taking some of Marion's red-zone TDs away
