And yet he got thrown to less and caught fewer passes when in the game at the same time as Miles Austin.

But I guess Austin can't get open.

He probably can't run past Nnamdi Asomugha either, it was likely just a bad camera angle.

I'm glad we have Kevin Ogletree and I hope he develops into a good player, but he's going to be a game day inactive in the present unless another wideout is injured.

I just don't get why some have so much venom for a guy who is a total team player.

Injuries happen.

Austin didn't tell Jerry Jones to release Terrell Owens or to suggest he would be one of the players to replace Owens' production.

And yet some have an axe to grind with the player.

I'm glad he's here.

No venom. He is always hurt.He isnt all that anyway.

Big Austin fan but I'm getting really sick of him sitting out.

If we have one more year of this he needs to be sent packing.

Fred Taylor should have been cut before he ever got close to 10,000 yards. He was always hurt.

Same thing with Brian Westbrook and Donovan McNabb.

per Wade Phillips:

As far as injuries...

Miles Austin did not practice today, which is a little different than I thought. I thought, based on talking to him the other day that he was fine. He did some running today and I think he will practice on Wednesday.

But that's more of a concern than I had previously.

I guess I talked to the wrong person, I talked to him and he said he was fine. The trainers said they wanted one more day with him to make sure he could do everything.

And I think he did that today, so it looks like he'll be practicing full speed on Wednesday, but we'll see.

sounds like Wade is concerned too.Is miles getting these injuries playing on ST?

Isaiah Stanback was someone who was always hurt.

I don't remember Miles Austin ever getting nicked before the pre-season knee injury last year. He came back and played with the knee never fully healthy and ended up hurting it again in the rematch against Washington.

A game, by the way, that saw Austin catch and convert a crucial third down in the fourth quarter with an 8 yarder on 3rd and 7.

Tony Romo threw what proved to be the game winning 25 yard touchdown to Martellus Bennett on the very next play.

I know Austin's injuries are frustrating, so are the concentration lapses resulting in dropped passes.

But the kid can play.

You can't score 3 touchdowns in four weeks playing limited reps by accident.

Ogletree would do just as good a job as MA. I'm comfortable with him in the lineup...

Except Austin does one thing that Ogletree doesn't do at this point.

Block.

But then MA would need to be on the field to do that, so I guess they are abou6t even now.

I stand by my prediction that Ogletree moves up to the number 3 receiver position by season's end.

It would be an amazing story if he did.

I'll say if he goes up it's only to #4 unless there are injuries.
