what's really funny to me here nc_dave is that you're defending parcells from being a puppetmaster the same way many have defended jones from the same things you've said about jones.

i don't deny any of those qualities in jones. he is what he is. but parcells is also very dominate and will have his will imposed the same way jones will. neither good nor bad, just their nature.

What could they possibly point to so far? They haven't done anything yet.

There is no doubt in my mind that Wayne hired Parcells to give him total control, but I couldn't prove it.

The point is that Ireland was only suppose to be able to leave if he had final say. I don't think anyone actually believes he has final say over Parcells until he leaves in a few years. So the league office should have stepped in on that. Parcells came up with a false title to get around this rule. The nfl has finally stopped this in the coaching ranks, but have turned their eye in this situation.

I believe that Ireland and Bill will be making joint decisions
