Call it Cowboys Stadium

Speaking at the Cowboys annual golf tournament for their sponsors owner and general manager Jerry Jones just announced the team's new stadium will be known as Cowboys Stadium.
Jones said the team considered other names but settled on Cowboys Stadium.
"Texas Stadium, we certainly have a deep embedded vision of what it is and at some point we will was," Jones said. "But we'd like to keep it at that. It's certainly fitting when looking at the tradition of the Cowboys for it to be Cowboys Stadium. It sounds obvious and simplistic but it's right."

That's a good compromise, but I would have still preferred, "Texas Stadium" or "Tom Landry Stadium" better.

Dallas Cowboys not Texas Cowboys. Cowboys Stadium is perfect.

Cowboys are bigger than Landry..

I like it.

He may very will do a Landry Field thing, but overall, I think it should be Cowboys Stadium...if only temporarily.

I see no reason to name the stadium after Landry and I am a huge Landry fan.

I do like the idea of Landry Field at Cowboys Stadium. Wordy, but worth it.

I also don't mind losing the Texas Stadium title. That was the old building, which served the Cowboys well; however, it is time to move forward. It would not be the same, so a different name is appropriate. And Cowboys Stadium is simple and succinct.

You could still get a sponsor to go along with the name.
