Checking in from Cowboys Stadium

It is a little chilly inside Cowboys Stadium even with the doors and roof closed.

Something with the underground tunnels.

Anyway, Ken Hamlin is not practicing with his high right ankle sprain and I would be surprised if he plays Sunday at New York.

Owner and general manager Jerry Jones spoke for a bit as well, touching on a numbe of subjects. We will have some posts when we get back from Arlington.
Interestingly the stadium is outfitted in some Big 12 logos for Saturday's championship game as well as the AT&T Cotton Bowl.

Ok, we all know that Ken Hamlin hasnt been playing lights out this year. With his injury looking like he will be out this week too, what do you think Ken Hamlin should be doing?

For one thing, to me, Hamlin should be spending a ton of time in the film room, working overtime with Campo, or safeties coach getting Alan Ball up to par, while Hamlin also works big time on the next game too. Kinda like a scout, disecting the up coming team, so when he is ready to get back on the field, he has spent extra time in film room studying the opposing teams coming up.

Which may lead to some big time interceptions, or recognizing some plays to make some big time stops on runs, etc.

What do you think zoners?

Good ..... I prefer his replacement.

Me too, so far to me, alan ball has outplayed ken hamlin the starter.

Hopefully like mickey said a few days ago, ken hamlin had better come back with alittle fire to keep his safety job.

I think it takes a really dedicated fan to micromanage an injured player's time.

this is a week we could use hamlin.

this is going to be a very physical game. I am not sure how well ball will hold up. And ball has made a couple of mistakes.

Having said that, hamlin was flat awful against the giants in september.

I remember he was seen on some show while he was injured, talking about one of his charity groups that he helps or something like that.

Hamlin is still hurt? Seriously?

Not that I miss the guy, but come on.

Well, high ankle sprains are tough to come back from.

Generally takes about 2 to 4 weeks to get over the injury..

I think this is the 3rd week for Hamlin, but dont quote me on that.

Dont misunderstand me, I'm not trying to make an excuse for Hamlin.

To me he hasn't played like he should have.

Ummm...shouldn't we have practiced outdoors considering what the weather will be like in NY.

I get a little nervous when I hear it was "a little chilly" inside the stadium.

It was not just chilly it was a mixture of rain and snow in the Dallas area. While adjusting to the temps is a good thing, going out and having a good practice means more.

Please, Hamlin is one of the worst tacklers in football at this point. And to think coming out of college he was regarded as a physical, big hitter. He's a huge wuss.

He's pretty much been awful since the day after he signed that ridiculous contract we gave him.

most teams tend to practice inside when you have rain/snow/icy mixture outside
