For the third time this season the Cowboys are getting a crew that did not work the previous week.
For Sunday's game at Arizona, they get Pete Morelli's crew. Their last game was Sept. 28 between Minnesota and Tennessee. They called 14 penalties, 11 of which were accepted. Interestingly the visiting team (Vikings) was called for seven penalties.
Here's the breakdown:
Encroachment: 1
Offside - 3 (two declined)
Delay of game - 3
Offensive holding - 4 (one declined)
Illegal formation - 1
False start - 1
Roughing the passer - 1
The offside penalties are interesting. Two were on defensive end Jared Allen and one was on Jevon Kearse. The Cowboys remind the officials before games about DeMarcus Ware's ability to read the snap quickly and even if it looks like he's offside, he's not. They might want to remind them this week, too.
