Yes, because Dallas has done so well at drafting WRs with downfield speed, better than average blocking, and can return kicks.

How long have we been looking for a young WR that is a deep threat?
Austin finally showed signs of really developing before his injury.
Up till then I considered him Randal Williams part deux.

By who? Porter?

Young WR with deep speed are not very common. You on the other hand are imminently replaceable.

If that's the case why have we yet to find anyone to step up into that roll? If it's so easy to find some one better he should of been gone by now.

Like the posters above said. We have not exactly been a hot bed for WR's in the past, he's young and he can do every thing you ask of him.

Maybe if we used a draft pick on someone that actually played WR and someone that's good...not a crappy WR like Skyler Green we'd do better.....

I'd suggest you look in the draft....

We haven't really brought in anyone in either....when was the last time we drafted a WR before the 4th?

You mean to tell me every other team is somehow capable of drafting a WR that steps up for them however, the cowboys can't ?

What's Austin role? Crayton should be able to do whatever Austin was doing and Felix should be able to handle Kick offs....

Austin is just waiting to explode and we have done a poor job of useing him.

You aren't going to find 6'3 215 pound receivers that are fast and have some wiggle too.

I like Crayton but Austin is capable of being a bigtime player in the NFL and teams think he is worth a 2nd round pick and thats with out a whole lot of film.

We better keep that guy or we will regret it.

Crayton does have the ability to stretch the field like Austin does. Outside of Owens Austin is our only deep threat.

Roy Williams is fully capable of making big plays down field and has done so.

What's it going to be then, eh?

Less than a week now until the CZ meltdown begins

Jones has been telling people since almost the day after the season ended...no big moves in free agency

That he has.

But I think too many people are actually believing the Ray Lewis/Julius Peppers nonsense.

I don't think it's hard to find a guy that can stretch the field.

Obviously, you don't pay a lot of attention to this team or to the NFL in general if you believe this.

With what? Some rookie who would also need to be developed and would be in the very same slot he currently occupies?

Why replace him when we have spent three years developing him?

To save what? A couple of million?

Tender him with a second round choice and let the chips fall where they may. It is not that difficult of a concept.

well if you believe Bradie James, He said the locker room doesnt need anymore egos.

So hopefully jerry follows bradies thoughts and stays far away from lewis.

A team stupid enough to give Canty a 50 million dollar contract should be looked at like a Al Davis boob!

Except that we don't throw either the ball anyway.

I say let him walk and whoever else wants go they're replacable. Only ones that aren't are Ratliff and Ware.

I assume you mean on the defensive side of the ball, not the whole team regarding replaceable players. Because I would think Tony Romo and Jason Witten are also very hard to replace.

Let Canty walk, Hatcher needs to be given the job. If you're not prepared to make a leap of faith with your young players just do what Daniel Snyder does and trade all of your trade picks for washed up, "proven" vets.
