If you like trends, the Cowboys have won four straight games following the bye week. Their last loss after the bye week was to the New York Giants in 2004. Since then, Dallas has won at Philadelphia twice, at Tennessee and at Washington.

Tony Romo credits coach Wade Phillips for working the team hard before players take the weekend off. They had very physical practice on Wednesday.

``Wade does a good job of working you throughout the bye week, more than people know,'' QB Tony Romo said. ``We work harder under Wade during the bye week than we did under Bill (Parcells). I think that may be a benefit for our team in the sense that there's no slippage when we come back, and I think that's a positive.''

I wonder if we'll see some different practice habits in general after Brooking getting on the team about how they practice also. Sometimes teams just need to bring it during practice and that makes them sharper and more effective in games.

:laugh2: Yeah, Wade's practices being tougher than Bill's? A lot of folks don't want to touch that.

Alright, well there seems to be a recipe for success here.

You work them harder during the bye weeks, and you win following the bye.

Hmm, maybe you should work them that hard, complete with tackling in every practice.

Just a thought

Tougher during the bye week, i very much doubt that's the norm for the season and offseason as a whole.

Also the last 2 years we've been down right horrible before the bye, so it stands to reason that even a softy like Wade would have had to put some work inn

How ironic it would be to see Austin, Barber, Newman, and Romo on the injury report after the week.

:O

OKay. So the team gets one good practice a year and it's when they have no one to play. I'm impressed.:lmao2:

"Yeah, well what would you expect Tony to say?"

He has to say that Wade works them hard. We all know the reality.

ALL the time you should bring it in practice. Practice Makes Perfect is not a BS saying.

and Wade finally realized that darn it, I have to work them hard every week for them to play well each week.

God I hope so!
