Three OLs are inactive, so that must mean Cory Procter backs up the center and both guard spots and Doug Free the tackles.

Proctor makes it because he can back up center and guard. Well at least that is the staffs story and they are sticking to it. Free being the backup tackle makes sense since he clearly was better then McQ this offseason.

He isn't a swing guy. The team only has to keep 7 OL active with Free backing up both OTs and Procter backing up C and both guard spots. Once Preston learns the system and hopefully shows to be better than Procter he should take Procter's place and hopefully force him off the roster.

Good question... If we aren't expecting to play him, I don't see the point in having him active.

I would imagine he is the emergency #3(and he is technically not inactive but he is) and will not count as an active.

Should have known, thought maybe he was injured or something.
Thanks and I agree Preston will be a welcomed alternative to Proctor.
