Here is some unfiltered Jerry Jones for you following the 37-21 win over Atlanta:
On the win: "I heard something hit the floor during that ballgame. These guys certainly beat a real good team. They came back after a disheartening drive in the beginning and they came back and played well and made the big plays. They put some good drives together and made some stops. This win is something that our team will take as a stepping stone."
On the margin of the win: "It really was the statement we were trying to make. That team is well-coached and has a good quarterback. We needed to have it from the defense, and we got it from the defense. There were some times when they could have scored, but didn't."
On Miles Austin/Roy Williams: "We've got some young receivers, some possession receivers and some guys coming up. With Miles coming up and where Roy is, we're having a tough time using our high-profile receivers right now."
On Tony Romo's performance: "We used some of the things that Tony can do and others can't. We used his ability to buy us some time, and it's what we've got with his skills. He has the ability to stay focused, buy us some time, and still make a play. That's exceptional. We've got to use that ability and we will."
Our question is this: Romo is at his best when he's improvising, but how do you script improvisation. Romo made the most of some near sacks Sunday, but I don't think the Cowboys want to start scheduling the pocket to collapse.
