A fine for tripping,you gotta be kidding me.

He wouldn't get fined for a normal trip. It's not even a personal foul -- it's in the same rule as holding.

The league must have determined that he kicked him more than tripped him.

Doubt it. I bet it has more to do with the injury result than the act itself.

Not coming after you but I doubt when you suffered your strain you had been conditioning your body to compete in a 16 game NFL season with professional weight and conditioning coaches and medical staff.

I always get a kick out of people when they compare their injuries to pro athletes.

With that said, i do agee he needs to rest and with KC and DENV coming up I would have no problem with him sitting out the next 3 weeks.
for sure I am not on that level...but you can also say their strains are at a worse degree BECAUSE of the speed and power which they move. Football players have the most freak accidents of all the sports off the field. And I think it is because of the size, strenghth and power of these mini pickup trucks. I mean guys falling downstairs at home breaking all kinds of limbs. How many people on this board perform the casual exercise of walking downstairs without breaking something?

Funny Flo has yet to jump offsides once this season. He has been doing a good job blocking thus far

they should REALLY rest Barber. I have had a strained quad....there is no way he is close to being ready to play. If we cannot beat these sorry teams we have coming up with Choice and Jones...then we are not any good to begin with. If you rest Barber and let him fully heal...you will have him when you need him the MOST. If you try to squeeze 10 carries out of him and he is just sputtering along for a couple of weeks, this could linger all year. We are DEEP at RB...every last one of these RBs could start in the NFL somehwere....I say rest him

Yes, I know the MRI supposedly showed a mild strain...but maybe it really was cramping more than anything else.

If he's so unathletic at this point of his career that he has to trip to be effective he needs to be playing playstation not on the field.

Will

He got caught out of position,it happens to any tackle in the league.I believe that if he doesn't trip Tuck on the play Romo gets drilled.What would you rather have,a tripping penalty or a hard hit(sack) on the quarterback.As far as the sarcastic remark about using a playstation to decide the outcome of a game.The way it appears to me is that the rules of the game are leading the game in that direction.I mean what is the next rule to be put in place to prevent injury,no gang tackling.

That good news on Barber, I can't hate on Flo he was protecting the QB, I don't condone dirty play, but he was beat and did what he had to do.

Flozell Adams fined 12,500 for tripping Tuck

supposedly also on first take on espn jerry jones was on espn first take and talk was that he is broke and not going to spend money on players to build up the talent for the next 2 years. So, that may include coaches too;

i am trying to get theebs or DC fanatic to see if they can put up the podcast;

Breakdown of fine

$5000 for actual infraction
$5000 double the fine since he's a Cowboy(or Raider)
$2500 for hurting a beloved Giant (or Patriot)

I can see why he did the trip ( trying to save Romo from being sacked ) but this is par for the course for Floz. If a penalty is called on Offense, more times than not, HIS number is the one called.

He has 2 on the season thus far none being pre snap penalties that have plagued him.

Even said, he is still one of the best LT in the league when it comes to protecting Romo against the best pass rushers in the league.

Is it normal to foul for every personal foul?

How much competition is there on that list? How many other LT's protect Romo?
