I've got horrible news to report. Patrick Crayton has vowed to watch his mouth while chatting with the media.
I tried telling him not to let the haters get to him, but it didn't help. Crayton's mom called him to deliver the following message: "Just tone it down a little bit." Receivers coach Ray Sherman advised Crayton not to give the sensationalizing media so much material.
"I'm just going to be quiet," Crayton said. "Everything I say gets twisted and blown out of proportion. You have to be politically correct, but that's not my style."
For the record, Crayton's teammates have no beef with him talking a little trash.
"Patrick is going to be Patrick," Tony Romo said. "He's a confident kid, and that allows him to play well."

I expect him to go out and make the plays regardless if he is talking or not. I like Crayton for his skills as a WR not what he is saying.

People complain about that comment but to me that is pretty harmless in the scheme of the NFL and the "protect this house" theme. His comments are right in line with that mantra IMO. Male ego dominated sport, with each team wanting to prove they are the bigger dog. he just got down to the nitty gritty of the "Our House" idea.

I guess when you have 2 male dogs in the house that you have had to pen up because they always try to mark their territory it does not phase you.

By the way, it is much less crude than the "bang it" and "hit it" comments a lot of guys post around here when talking about Romo and his girlfriends!!!!

these media types are so pathetic...notice how he said "I told him not to let the haters get to him"...that was his sly way of trying to get Crayton to give him more juicy soundbites. Because the minute Crayton's trash talk resulted in a key dropped pass or a big loss...these same media types juicing him for soundbites would turn on him and call him a bum for dropping a pass or losing a game
