Commanders owner Daniel Snyder might have provided a little Valley Ranch bulletin board material in an interview with the Wall Street Journal.

He was defending ex-Skins coach Joe Gibbs when he dropped this gem: "We got close. We should have beaten Seattle two of those years and I think we would have had a lot of fun playing Dallas."

It's also interesting to read Snyder's take on why he isn't a micromanager: "I'm not in any of the coaching meetings. I never have been. I don't watch film with the coaches. I let the scouts scout and the coaches coach."

As any Hard Knocks viewer knows, Jerry Jones is a fixture in the coaches' meetings. Of course, he's also the self-appointed GM and makes it very clear that he's ultimately responsible for every single personnel decision the Cowboys make.

I don't think Snyder intended to take a shot at Jerry, though. He mentions at the end of the interview that he gets along great with Jerry during the off-season, although they're enemies in the fall.

That's supposed to be 'bulletin board material'?

What are we, the Giants?

You only think it would be fun Daniel. Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it.

I found it interesting that Stephen Jones is in on the coaches' meetings, too, busily taking notes. It makes sense, of course, but I still found it interesting.

I wonder if other teams' GMs and contract/cap guys sit in on their coaches' meetings?

Its pretty sad. We should have beaten Seattle both times. Really? You had two cracks at it what happened?

Nothing is more pathetic to me than londen fletcher in the losing locker room of the wild card game saying what they were going to do to Dallas had they won. It doesnt get any more sorry than that.

Although Snyder did say "we know what we were going to do to Dallas" at joe gibbs retirement press conference so that is a close second.

All the east games will be fun this year. Especially since The giants player have talked all offseason about our teams, players and fans. They have insulted every inch of the cowboys organization. Then you throw in fletcher and snyder's dumb remarks and mcnabb saying we shouldnt have beaten philly last year at all.

Everyone in this division hates Dallas and none of them have given any credit to this team when they win. It is always some reason why the eagles, giants or Commanders lost.

I just hope this team hates those teams as much as they hate us. I wish this city would get into it the way the teams do in the east, but miracles are few and far between.

Nothing here to see.......move along. Although in the words of Randy Newman I will say this: "Short people got, no reason to live, they've got tiny hands, tiny feet and they drive little cars that go.....beep, beep, beep. Don't want no short people 'round here."

Did they really say something negative about Dallas fans or is this an exaggeration to make a point? I read somewhere else that Giants players had insulted not only Dallas players, but the cheerleaders and fans as well. Not that it matters, but I'm curious.

manning, burress and toomer said they hear could hear in texas stadium better than anywhere else. I took that as a shot at the fans. Not a big deal. When you add it into toomer insulting phillips and jones and the assorted giants players talking garbage about the rest of our team all offseason it kind of paints a picture.

Especially when mosley said coughlin put up wade phillips get your ring finger ready comment all over their camp locker room. They just hate our team and say and do whatever they want.

Yeah, he's not a micromanager. This is the same guy that started to try and kick field goals because in his words "anybody can do it."

Could that be only because of them being away from the office and / or because of Hard Knocks?

He would have a great time, right up until kick off when all his hopes and dreams would fade away.

He proves that you dont have to be smart to make it rich in America.

He definately has a little man's complex when it comes to the Cowboys.
