Defense comes up big at end

The Cowboys defense came up with the play at the end of Sunday's game to seal the victory.

That wasn't happening early in the season.

"I think this team is turning the corner,'' linebacker Bradie James said. "We had the opportunity to win the game at the end, and I've been here, been in a lot of games where we haven't, where they have gotten a big field goal to win on that last drive. For us defensively it feels good, like the cherry on top.

"We've lost these games in the past. But now guys know when we say let's go and we have to stop them, we really believe we can stop them.''

All the kudos in the world to the defense.

It was Jason "Quincy Carter v2" Campbell though.... starting from deep in his end with less than 2 minutes.

Bowen made a nice play, probably saved the season.

If not for that play, I have no doubt they'd have marched right down the field and won the game.

The Defense has been awesome. I twitted MartyB, that the offensive guys should buy the defensive guys lunch tomorrow. He didn’t respond, too busy building his rap career. But i have to give Wade some credit, he has done a nice job with the defense this season.

He's much better than QC. As much grief as I give Campbell he's better than I thought he was. He's actually able to go through progressions, make changes at the LOS without the coaches doing it for him, and protect the football inside the pocket. Credit Zorn for making him a better QB, with that said he's still in the bottom 5-10 in the league.

Jason Campbell is much better than Quincy Carter, you people know nothing about football if you can't see that. The offensive line in Washington is horrible, I'm amazed Dallas didn't sack him more.

Our D is playing playoff calibre football now. But I'm concerned about Jenkins health and our S's.

Yes, the defense is playing pretty good... However the Jenkins injury has me really worried as well because Scandrick is having the sophomore slump!

If you talking about statistics, yes. But winning percentage give it to Quincy Carter... I believe if the Cowboys never got rid of Carter, I believe Tony Romo still eventually would have became the starter, but I felt as if Carter was the type of Quarterback offensive line like Flozell like to block for, because Quincy really never counts on his blocking that's why he scrambled...

Actually, offensive lineman hate blocking for quarterbacks like Quincy Carter specifically because he moves around too much and they never know how to block their guy away from the quarterback.

Lineman need to know where a quarterback will be unless the pocket collapses in order to determine the type of blocking style to use along with how long they need to block.
