NBC's crack studio analysts Tony Dungy and Rodney Harrison are both picking the Eagles in Sunday night's battled for NFC East supremacy on their network. Oy.

Harrison, a former DB: "I like the Eagles. This is the Dallas Cowboys biggest test yet, especially Tony Romo. He's going to see a host of blitzes. They're going to disguise coverage and come from all over the place. They're going to try and pressure and knock him in the mouth."

Dungy, a former coach: "I like Philadelphia because I think Dallas still has some weaknesses in the secondary. You can see a ton of big plays from Philly's receivers this week."

I think we would have to win the Superbowl before those two guys pick the Cowboys for anything. They always say something negative so I'm starting to get used to it. They will jump on another teams bandwagon quick but they have to "see more" when it comes to the Cowboys.

I knew it. Atlanta was a big game and a "huge telling game if the Cowboys are for real" before it, but since we beat them handily, Atlanta actually just sucks :lmao:

They're not wrong. I think many Cowboys fans feel the same way. There are questions in the Cowboys secondary. There is absolutely nothing wrong with them picking the Eagles. A betting man would. Especially after a 44-6 *** whooping and plus their playing at him. I think its a close game but then again I thought the 44-6 game would be close. All the Cowboys can do is go out there and play.

I will never get why fans expect or want analysts who don't even watch the games to pick Dallas every week. They're doing it in the local media. Isn't that good enough?

I would be more shocked if Dallas was favored. Currently the line on the game is Philly by 3 points. Playing at home Philly should be favored in this game.

Many on this board are ready to proclaim Dallas champs and Romo the next great QB. No win or loss means that much unless this team proves their backbone in the playoffs, if they get there.

Hi. That was last year, which you're apparently still living in.

I agree with both comments. Our secondary is still suspect until proven otherwise, and the Eagles have a good team.

I don't care when it was. It was the last time we faced the Eagles. Cowboys needs to remember that history so they don't repeat it. I don't expect them to but there is absolutely no reason for the Cowboys to be favored in this game.

Outstanding!

I don't want the media feeding the Cowboys anything other than what they are. I don't want them to buy the hype and if there is no hype, it's easier.

Go take care of business and don't worry about who thinks you can win or not. None of the media thought Oakland could either.

Agreed. Anyone who fails otherwise should put their house on the game. I want the 'Boys to win. I think they will. But it sure as hell isn't any guarantee.

I agree. Its unfortunate but hey its better then the doom and gloomers that were here 3 weeks ago saying the season was over.

As Romo said this week losing to Philly as they did is a motivator but not a revenge game. Nothing can change the outcome of what took place last year we could win this game and that still changes nothing from last year’s melt down.

I agree. This is philly in philly and Dallas better bring their A game because I fully expect Philly to bring theirs. I know Dallas is capable of winning this game but it is not a sure things by any means.

Well, I tend to agree. I think beating Atlanta puts us in the clear cut playoff team category. I think beating the Eagles puts us in that clear cut top 2-3 team in the conference category. It's just taking the next step.

And I guess this is what it comes down to. What Cowboys team shows up? Because I don't think we can sit heer and pray for them to play us like they did the Raiders. Not a NFC rival. The Cowboys answered the challenge against the Falcsons. But there have been far too many times especially at the end of last season where a game like this would come around and not only did they lose but got slaugthered. I can settle for a loss here. But a competitive loss. A whooping sort of puts you back where you were before the previous 3 weeks.

We also beat NY late last year in what was an important game. Dallas can win this game but they will have to go earn it because Philly is not going to hand it to them. Philly has some big time weapons that can hit you at any moment I think if Dallas can stop the big play and force Philly to drive the lenght of the field to get points we have a good chance at beating them

Of course, that is how it always goes. If Dallas wins, it was not a big game in retrospect.
