just looked him up, he didn't put up impressive numbers at Portland State, that's because they played a 3-4, but he put up some great measurables at his Pro Day:

6'5" 304
5.06 40
2.87 20-yard dash
1.75 10-yard
25 reps
30" vert
9'07" broad-jump
4.49 shuttle
7.37 3-cone

NFLDS had him 58 among DTs and rising in the '08 draft

2 year totals at PSU after transferring from Washington, where he was a TE, were 36 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, 4 sacks, 4 pass-breakups, and a forced fumble

so the guy is big, raw and athletic

cool thanks jerry, got a question for you
as we all know belicheat is a good judge of talent and where to play players
i am assuming that belicheat had tyler playing DT

however first college he played TE, do you think with his size, alittle power but not much, but great speed, and maybe some quickness that he might be more suited to OT?

I think they probably had him playing DE, he's tall and athletic, so that would be a good position for him, FYI Marcus Spears started out as a TE too, actually was one of the highly touted TEs in the country when he signed with LSU

obviously Tyler is very, VERY raw, played only 2 years on D at a very small school, so idk

If he does really well at TC and continues to progress, they could bring him up if god forbid Felix,Barber or Choice het hurt. I hope he stays persistant and hungry.

Portland State has a solid football program for a small school. I do not follow them anymore though.

I really liked the way that Lattimore ran last preseason. He isnt going to make the roster barring injury but I wouldn't hate him to be our third RB if something happens.

me to, sometimes players have to be cut, and then released then brought back; before they get it;
