I am a hugeeeeeeeeeeeeeee TO fan. That doesn't change the fact that Roy Williams is trash. I cant believe Jerry Jones got him without keeping TO. I mean i would be fine keeping Roy as a number 2 reciever, but number 1? WOW
You a huge TO fan?

No way. You could have knocked me over with a feather.

Look at that *GATOR* education SHINE!!

Like it or not, for now, he's right. We know Roy's potential, but until he lives up to it, you can't say he's an explosive player. The most explosive player they have right now may be Felix Jones just because he has that one-run TD ability and big kick/punt-return ability.

Unfortunately I do think that Roy Williams may be set up as the scapegoat should the passing game not do better or he not have Owens-esque numbers. They'll say "Well, he's not really a #1 WR." I do feel bad for Roy b/c he has gonna have a lot of undue pressure heaped onto his back by Week 1.

You get picked #7 overall in the draft and you're considered a #1 WR. He was considered Detroits #1 even with the #2 overall pick playing on the other side of him. The guy made a pro bowl but hasn't stayed healthy enough to finish a season since.

That's my problem with RW11, his durability. He can play and go up and get balls. 1 on 1 he's gonna dominate 90 % of the corners in this league. Can he play a full season and then possibly the playoffs?

I'd be more concerned with Austin's lack of experience against starting corners and this WR corps' overall durbaility issues than if RW11 has talent at this point. RW11 has at least proven to a decent extent that he has talent. The other elements are all unproven for him and the rest of the WR corps.

There are lots of Cowboy and NFL fans alike who are split on this move. Its not news that Emmitt is undecided as well.

It was a tough call. We'll have to wait to see if it was the right one.
I was and still am on the Fence with this move, It's kinda strange T.O. seem well like by his teammates, but he was also such a distraction to a few of them, hopefully, Austin can do a decent job.

No, he questioned Garrett... Just like Tony Romo questioned him...

Which means what?

As far as Emmitt's "explosiveness"

I am not worried one bit about "who will be explosive".

Miami damn sure doesn't have an explosive WR. The barely have a QB.

Tennessee wouldn't have anything that resembles an explosive WR if you combined their best two WRs.

Philly didn't have it. They have a few WRs who can make explosive plays but nothing that anyone in the league would consider world beating.

Berrian can make some plays but Minny doesn't have a QB.

Point is, teams don't need anyone to be "explosive". Those 4 teams were in the playoffs and they didn't have a TO. They didn't have anything close. They also didn't have anything close to the QB that Dallas has. McNabb is pretty close but not there.

Dallas has all they need. If Wade gets the D bangin on all cylinders, Dallas will have much more than they need.

Between the stable of RBs and Witten, I just don't see WR as an absolute MUST for this team.

Keep your "explosive", Emmitt. I'll take a three-headed rushing attack and a TE that can pretty much beat his man every down. No need for explosive when you can control the clock the way Dallas should be able to.

But they all had offensive coaches that were semi-decent...

If TO and McNabb worked out, the Eagles would probably have gotten their Super Bowl...

Tennessee had a coach that actually ran the ball and employed effective play-action...

We have Mike Martz Jr...

Roy Williams is going to let a lot of you down next season. Miles Austin is the most explosive player on our team not named Felix now that Owens is gone.

exactly how many super bowl rings does terrell owens have? hmmm i believe zero.

it's funny how troy never said a word when the cowboys traded 2 #1 draft picks to bring in joey galloway and yet he didn't call that the biggest bust in the nfl.

teams win super bowls individuals do not ... if roy williams contributes like 80+ catches which he is very capable of doing and witten gets his usual 80+ catches we will be fine...especially with our running game and using felix jones out of the backfield and getting martellus bennett more involved this year.

i also believe that miles austin is going to have a break-out year for the cowboys as well.

also, is anybody else getting sick and tired of all the former cowboys killing this team. sure would be nice to hear them say something positive for a change.

cant say i dont agree with emmitt cutting T.O wasnt a good move.things could have been worked out he was not a real issue just more of a scape goat

while i find the comment funny i feel roy can be really good for us next season. just wouldve loved seeing him and owens line up together this yr for a full season. ahh well

I feel like Jimmy Johnson used to feel after a loss. Horrible. I don't want to hear anything positive until I see it on the field.

We sucked completely last year, and I'm not happy until we stop sucking, therefore, I have nothing nice to say about this franchise, and I hope everyone on this team including Jerry, I hope he can't sleep or eat naturally until he figures out a way to make us a contender.

We are NOT the eagles, and we should NOT ever EVER, put up with sorry coaching, sorry football, losing seasons, this is not the Cowboy way.

The most comical aspect of this debate is that we won NOTHING with T.O? Nothing.. no playoff win(s) still. I mean how bad could it be? Are we afraid that we might go 9-7 and and get blown out by a divisional rival with the playoffs on the line in the reg. season finale? I'm ready to move on.

Same here. I don't blame TO but TO is not here and when he was I don't recall winning championships or playoff games. Heck I don't recall TO having SB rings to begin with so it is very possible for a team to win without TO others are able to do so
