Every dog has its day. And Emmitt nailed it.

Quite simply, you don't chase away your best offensive weapon because Witten and maybe romo were feeling like hurt girls.
As a coach, the Clown Wade Phillips should have yelled at all concerned and tell them to DO THEIR JOBS with no whining or complaints about who is getting the ball and who isn't and who is the snitch and who isn't.

Of course, that would be too much to ask of Wade, wouldn't it?

T.O. had reason to complain. Fergodsakes Witten and Romo were rooming together and vacationing together! Of course, Romo favored Witten! I would favor my buddy and all of you would too. But that still doesn't make it right. Forcing the ball to Witten when you have T.O. waiting was stupid.

Prediction: T.O. and his team will fare poorly.
Witten and his team won't fare better than last year.

Thank god we have a good running attack to take up the slack.

Ditto, even though I'd go so far as to say I'm near certain it was a bad move. But who cares at this point?

It's done.

Indeed. It is water under the bridge.

Now if Roy and Miles step their games up, all will be well in Big D.

Clutch situation.....3rd down you get 1 pass for a first down both are WIDE open......who would you throw to? if you said T.O. you are foolish...and you would have about a 30% chance of watching your ball get dropped on the ground......punt

did you think before writing this or did it just kinda leak out?

T.O. can make big plays but hes not clutch....Witten is clutch...

We're about to find out how clutch he is when he's the focal point.

Well, from a scientific standpoint, if someone were standing on the edge of a cliff, with thirty pieces of silver tied around their neck and they decided to lean forward--chances are the added weight would cause him or her to fall off the cliff's edge onto the rocks below.

Just saying...

I feel like Jimmy Johnson used to feel after a loss. Horrible. I don't want to hear anything positive until I see it on the field.

We sucked completely last year, and I'm not happy until we stop sucking, therefore, I have nothing nice to say about this franchise, and I hope everyone on this team including Jerry, I hope he can't sleep or eat naturally until he figures out a way to make us a contender.

We are NOT the eagles, and we should NOT ever EVER, put up with sorry coaching, sorry football, losing seasons, this is not the Cowboy way.
Nice hissy fit.

When you overexaggerate things to the extent that we "completely sucked" last year you won't have any credibility here, with your "Cowboy Way" or not.

So, you too are rooming with Witten?

Hmmmm.:laugh2:

Again, you don't chase away your most potent offensive weapon. It's pretty basic and many have said that.

Like in 2004 when he had 87 catches for 980 yards with Testaverde throwing him the ball?

Guess what? Jason has actually improved since then.

No, never question anything.
It's so easy living in your fascist do-not-question-anything world.

If anyone questions anything, he or she is a baaaad person.
I get so tired of this oppressive, anti-discussion faction. Just go along with the system and don't say nothing (excuse the double negative, champ) because you are a bad fan.

Learn to think independently of the lemmings . . . oh, you are one of the head lemmings, i see . . . . :laugh2:

Emmitt must have forgotten about Felix Jones. I guess that what happens when you're a diamond amongst trash.

Maybe Garret and romo needed to be questioned..Ever thought of that?

That's exactly how TO felt and now he's gone. The problem with self absorbed egomaniac cancers like TO is that they believe their press clippings and think they're above the team. TO thought he was untouchable because the team had so much money tied up in him. Guess what? Nobody is indispensable. Not even TO. Jerry did what any surgeon would to a cancer patient: remove the cancer. I for one never thought he would do it and applaud Jerry for moving on.

there is enough things on this team to question...Witten and Ware are the absolute LAST thing this franchise needs to be questioning......you guys need something to whine about so bad that you dont even stop and think about who you are whining about.....now explain to me WHY Witten should be questioned....because maybe he didnt like T.O.? well guess what ? id bet 80% of the NFL dont like him either ..if they did he wouldnt be playing in that winter waste land

Emmitt Smith isn't sure Cowboys should have cut T.O.

When he was employed by ESPN, Emmitt Smith criticized T.O. on more than a couple occasions. And vice versa.

But Emmitt, who talked to reporters after participating in today's press conference to announce where all the Super Bowl XLV functions will be held around the area, isn't sure that cutting T.O. was in the Cowboys' best interests.

"Addition by subtraction?" Emmitt said when asked whether he agrees with Troy Aikman's take on T.O.'s departure. "Put it this way: I don't know the nuances of the locker room and all those kind of things, but I just know that guy is a player, and there is ways that they could have worked together.

"I don't know if he was a scapegoat or whatever it was, but I tell you what, he was a talent. He was a talent, and he didn't get in any trouble, didn't create any issues. Whenever he had the opportunity to make plays, he pretty much made them. He may have said some things at times that was kind of stupid, but we all do that.

"Bottom line is, I'm not sure (whether cutting T.O. makes the Cowboys better). Who do they have who is going to be that explosive? That's the question. Who do you have that's going to be that explosive? I don't see it."

What about Roy Williams?

"Like I said, who do you have that's going to be that explosive?" Emmitt said.

:lmao2: :lmao: :clap2:

This guy won trophies for us. Do we just brush his opinion aside because it's anti-RW11? Hrmmm... RW11 still has a lot to prove...

Just today I read in a major newspaper web site a writer calling Romo a choke artist. I don't agree with that, that until Romo actually wins a playoff game, champ, don't be so quickly to anoint him our best offensive weapon. And next time he throws a pick, takes the team to a one-and-out playoffs or forces a ball, think about what you said, Mr. Head Lemming. Mr. Do Not Question Or I Won't Play:laugh2:

And if Romo is our best offensive weapon, please man up and tell Barber/Witten/Felix that. And then a WHOLE LOTTA offensive players are less than the sum of Romo.:laugh2:

Ware? Who brought him into this discussion. Is there a question in your do-not-question psyche that would indicate he is not?
What planet are you from?
Witten? He is a good TE. But when was the last time he eclipsed T.O. in receiving -- even with Romo throwing to him every opportunity?

Junior, learn this and learn it quick. In a forum, you don't condemn anyone who questions anything. Far from that, when I see you worshipping Wade and all that is the Dallas Cowboys, I have to read it and say, hmmmm, this junior is a real PollyAnna. A real teacher's pet. A real beaten down man who takes out the trash and then mops the floor and then asks if he should wipe his feet when he comes in the door. No cajones. Just blind obedience and blind devotion.

Being a lemming, I thought you'd get tired of bouncing on all them rocks on the way down.
Maybe that is what has turned you into a yes man for Wade and Romo.

Get help and learn to question. Learn to think for yerself, Lemming.

:)

Deion/Emmitt/Troy have won more Lombardinis than the lemmings here can even count.

These legends have a say, too, but the lemmings will not listen.
They speak from experience and a lifetime IN FOOTBALL.
The Lemmings here speak from their keyboards. Not a fair fight at all.:laugh2:

the explosive wr we just cut didn't even help us win a playoff game and came up small in both of them.
