Every dog has its day. And Emmitt nailed it.

Quite simply, you don't chase away your best offensive weapon because Witten and maybe romo were feeling like hurt girls.
As a coach, the Clown Wade Phillips should have yelled at all concerned and tell them to DO THEIR JOBS with no whining or complaints about who is getting the ball and who isn't and who is the snitch and who isn't.

Of course, that would be too much to ask of Wade, wouldn't it?

T.O. had reason to complain. Fergodsakes Witten and Romo were rooming together and vacationing together! Of course, Romo favored Witten! I would favor my buddy and all of you would too. But that still doesn't make it right. Forcing the ball to Witten when you have T.O. waiting was stupid.

Prediction: T.O. and his team will fare poorly.
Witten and his team won't fare better than last year.

Thank god we have a good running attack to take up the slack.

I feel like Jimmy Johnson used to feel after a loss. Horrible. I don't want to hear anything positive until I see it on the field.

That's exactly how TO felt and now he's gone. The problem with self absorbed egomaniac cancers like TO is that they believe their press clippings and think they're above the team. TO thought he was untouchable because the team had so much money tied up in him. Guess what? Nobody is indispensable. Not even TO. When he was employed by ESPN, Emmitt Smith criticized T.O. on more than a couple occasions. And vice versa.

But Emmitt, who talked to reporters after participating in today's press conference to announce where all the Super Bowl XLV functions will be held around the area, isn't sure that cutting T.O. was in the Cowboys' best interests.

"Addition by subtraction?" Emmitt said when asked whether he agrees with Troy Aikman's take on T.O.'s departure. "Put it this way: I don't know the nuances of the locker room and all those kind of things, but I just know that guy is a player, and there is ways that they could have worked together.

"I don't know if he was a scapegoat or whatever it was, but I tell you what, he was a talent. He was a talent, and he didn't get in any trouble, didn't create any issues. Whenever he had the opportunity to make plays, he pretty much made them. He may have said some things at times that was kind of stupid, but we all do that.

"Bottom line is, I'm not sure (whether cutting T.O. makes the Cowboys better). Who do they have who is going to be that explosive? That's the question. Who do you have that's going to be that explosive? I don't see it."

What about Roy Williams?

Just today I read in a major newspaper web site a writer calling Romo a choke artist. I don't agree with that, that until Romo actually wins a playoff game, champ, don't be so quickly to anoint him our best offensive weapon. And next time he throws a pick, takes the team to a one-and-out playoffs or forces a ball, think about what you said, Mr. Head Lemming. Mr. Do Not Question Or I Won't Play:laugh2:

And if Romo is our best offensive weapon, please man up and tell Barber/Witten/Felix that. And then a WHOLE LOTTA offensive players are less than the sum of Romo.:laugh2:

Witten? He is a good TE. But when was the last time he eclipsed T.O. in receiving -- even with Romo throwing to him every opportunity?

Junior, learn this and learn it quick. In a forum, you don't condemn anyone who questions anything. Far from that, when I see you worshipping Wade and all that is the Dallas Cowboys, I have to read it and say, hmmmm, this junior is a real PollyAnna. A real teacher's pet.
