Greg Ellis will sit out this afternoon's practice because of back soreness. Wade Phillips said it's not a big deal, but the Cowboys are just being careful with the soon-to-be 33-year-old.
It's pretty routine for veterans to take a practice off here and there during the August grind. Of course, Ellis proved last season that he doesn't really need training camp at this point of his career.
