It's not exactly an ideal date at dawn of April 11, but for $25 you can pay to park in the red lot east of the intersection of State Highway 114 and Loop 12 in Irving to watch the implosion of Texas Stadium the former home of the Dallas Cowboys.

A video of crews preparing for the implosion can be found here. The money is going to charity, and the roads around the stadium will be stopped for a while to make it happen, so it's one of the few spots close by to see the building fall.

So does that interest you as a Cowboys fan?

While it's great to raise money for charity that's a bit steep.

Will just wait for it to show up on You Tube.

$25 is cheap for going to charity, and watching it live.

I won't watch it. To me it was a palace and hallowed ground.

I still think it's sad that they're destroying Texas Stadium. :(

Sort of like Kirk and the others watching the Enterprise disintegrate in "Search for Spock."

Who the hell other than Skins and Eagles fans would pay to watch that?

gulp.....

I will probably go that morning. I loved that place, I want to be there that morning.

I am planning on recording it and making some sort of video out of it.

I understand that, as it should be left as a monument. But I would rather see it go down like it will, than to see it just sitting there getting delapidated. Becausde you know they would not pay millions to keep it in decent shape.

I won't pay $25 to see it. I would probably just watch on youtube, if that.

I passed Texas Stadium on the way home from work yesterday, and they have removed so much from the inside, you can see through the stadium now. There is not much left but the outer structure, and roof.

I've suspected you since you gave our draft board to the rest of the league...

Watching it implode is no worse than watching what the Ravens did to the Cowboys in the last game there. To me, that was much more painful.

Agreed.

Texas Stadium is just a building without a team. And having served it's purpose, it would just sit around and get more and more decrepit.

I'd rather see it blown up than slowly fall apart.

Personally, it won't affect me much, one way or another since I never went to any games there but there's always a certain sadness seeing a landmark come down.

Too many great memories for me. High school state championships, college games, and of course... the Cowboys games. I'll never watch it.
