I like Stanback. I don' think he can stay healthy.

But, I think we can probably stash Ogletree on the practice squad.

I am not really worried about losing either of them.

The million dollar question is can Isaiah Stanback stay healthy?

He's never made it out of camp in one piece before now, so I'm hoping the injuries have been put to bed.

If healthy, I'd keep Stanback over Kevin Ogletree without hesitation.

He's bigger, faster, more versatile and fully immersed in the system.

With our top four wideouts looking strong, we can afford to keep the player with the bigger upside as our fifth receiver.

Ogletree would have to really light things up over the next three games to make us think we can't slip him on to the practice squad, IMO.

Wouldn't that be more reason to give Stanback more time to develop?

Or it should have been a reason to give Jimmy Smith more time to get healthy...

Like I stated earlier, if they haven't shown it by year three, they aren't going to...

You cannot predict injuries.

No more than you can accidents or the lottery. He is not at greater risk of injury than anyone else. How many ways do I need to say that for people to get it???

I disagree. Once, twice, maybe.

But this is four times in extremely limited game opportunities - that's a pattern.

And injuries aside, I saw one guy - Ogletree - who looked like a receiver 'right outta the box.'

I saw another - Stanback - who looked like the same 'wide receiver starter kit' that he has for several years.

The proof is in the pudding: Ogletree passes the eye test as Stasheroo alluded to. Stanback never has and never will: he's on the outside looking in right now IMO.
