Jerry expects Henry back for Pats

Jerry said today that he thinks CB Anthony Henry, who will sit out Monday night with a high ankle sprain, will be able to play next week against the Patriots.

"I sure do," Jerry said. "I don't think that is as bad as some high ankle sprains that we've had with our players."

Jerry declined to set a timetable for WR Terry Glenn's return from arthroscopic knee surgery. Glenn has had the knee scoped twice since the start of training camp. He's rehabbing, but Jerry said it's too early to guess when Glenn might be able to play again.

Playmaker gets Cowboys-Pats halftime spotlight

Michael Irvin will be presented his Hall of Fame ring during halftime of the Cowboys-Patriots game Oct. 14.

It's certainly a fitting game for the presentation with a couple of big, brash Canton-bound receivers expected to put on a show. (If you want to debate the Hall of Fame credentials of T.O. and Randy Moss, take a peek at their career ranks in the major receiving categories.)

Anybody want to set the over-under on how long it takes the Playmaker to shed a tear?

I just hope that neither Henry nor Glenn rush back before they are ready.. I'd rather have them both playing when we play the Patriots in February, not when we play them next week..

I really hope we get Terry Glenn back at some point this season.

I'd like to at least know how his rehab is going...... Anyone have an update?

It is very fitting that Mike gets his HOF ring during this game with Moss and TO in it. He played a significant role in bringing TO to Dallas and almost landed Moss in Dallas, but ironically, it was b/c of Irvin's off the field activities that made the Cowboys decided not to draft Moss.

His superbowl rings looks more Bling Bling.

Henry doesn't have the greatest speed...to start with.

Maybe he should wait until he's 100 percent....

Jerry Jones needs to shut the hell up regarding players injuries. Doesn't he remember what happened when he last commented about Terry Glenn?

"Oh he's ready. He may not think he's ready, but he's ready".

How'd that work out for you, JJ? SHUT THE HELL UP!

I think the team can weather the absence of Glenn until he's ready. Crayton and Hurd have so far filled in admirably.

The loss of Henry is more severe since there aren't the backups on the tam to step right in. Reeves is coming along fine, but he is still a little raw. I hope Henry is back for the New England game, both of them in fact.

Let's see, it was supposed to be about 6 weeks - but this is Terry Glenn who recently claimed he got hurt b/c he tried to come back and play too soon. Even though the trainers dispute that.

I know folks are going to say "but he had that surgery that might end his career" -- that's crap. His other option was a surgery with a relatively low success rate meaning he'd be an old WR coming off a major knee surgery - that would have likely ended his career as well.

Me, I don't Glenn coming back until at least Game 11.

It will be awesome to have both Henry and TNew. I hope Henry is healthy enough by then. If both plays against the Pats, I really like our chances.

I think our best shot is with Newman/Reeves.

Henry is hurt and I'd guess we are looking at 2-3 weeks before he has any speed to take on Moss and company.

Reeves is clearly faster than Henry.
