I know, I agree w/ you. However, this team had a ton of penalties under Parcells. Didn't Parcells say that you couldn't coach penalties? If this defense didn't show me something at the end of the year, I wouldn't want Wade back either. Wade didn't get Pacman. Wade didn't bring in RW in the middle of the season. Heck, Wade doesn't really even contol the offense. I just want to see what Wade can do w/ another year w/ this defense. Get Felix back to help the offense. Maybe get our line healthy and RW into our offense. If you get a new coach, you almost start from scratch again.

starting from scratch seem to have worked out well for the Falcons, Ravens and Dolphins

sticking with the same has not worked for us, wade is just wrong for this team pure and simple we're looking 6-10 right in the face next season if we keep this guy around to mess up again cause he will

6-10 would be a positive outlook on this team I would not be suprised if we tank into the 3-13 realm

I got a TON of Cowboys stuff for Christmas. I've loved the Cowboys since the early 80's. I'm not going to stop being a fan, but I am done buying merchandise also.

I wish there was a tactful way for me to return the stuff I got. Good $$$$$$ was spent by my family so I could have a couple seats from the old Texas stadium. I'd sell it on e-bay right now if it wouldn't horribly offend my wife, who bought them for me.

I am rooting for 0-16 if Wade, Garrett, Stewart, Read, and training conditioning staff is back next year.

Jerry is worse than Al Davis, at least Davis can admit he made a mistake, even if he can't get out of the way to fix it.

Hell no, Jerry has given Red headed Jesus his word that he will be the next head coach, he can't fire Wade, who sucks, because Garrett sucks too and isn't ready for that role.

The whole staff needs to be va-poo-rized, like that movie where Jack Black invents that spray that makes dog poop dissapear.....we need to va-poo-rize the entire coaching staff and the GM.

Who cares about all the non football stuff.

I haven't cried ever for a coaching change. But I saw us get outcoached the last few games (I can still remember them). The best blitzing team in football doesn't blitz. The team that knows pressure on Romo is bad for us does it all game (as long as it was a game).

Their DBs were jumping routes all day long.

Hard to change players but you can surely change coaches. Someone show me I'm wrong about this. Cause if Jerry is going to keep the current coaches esp Jason then I need to really be wrong about this one.

The Detroit Lions are laughing at us right now.

I don't watch ESPN, but I wonder if they'll have a viewers poll asking what is more demoralizing.....

0-16 lions
44-6, with a chance at the playoffs.

You know, I absolutely agree with you.

But we lacked all those things when Parcells was here too. I think it's more to do with the players we have. No leadership. Too many shoulder shrugs. Too many prima donnas.

:starspin "No leadership. Too many shoulder shrugs" - I think that sums it up, IMO, too.

Stewart and Read are getting canned. I refuse to entertain the possibility that they will be kept on. Not even JJ would do this.

This indication that Jerry is going to stick to his guns is the worst news of the day IMO.

This is very very depressing. Time to have some more whiskey.

Jerry Jones is a clown. Until fans stop buying his stuff and attending games this nonsense will go on forever.

That won't even work. Revenue sharing...:D

I needed a story like this tonight.

Quick story on how I became a Cowboys fan. When I was 7 years old, my parents took me to the state fair here in NY. I played a game that required you to throw a single dart at a group of posters about 10 feet away. Which ever poster you hit with that dart, you won that poster. Well sure enough I hit the Dallas Cowboys poster. Right now, Im wishing I hit the women's fencing poster right next to it.

PS: I dont really remember what posters were grouped around the Cowboys one. I just added the fencing thing for a little humor.

You are overracting.

I would never want the Cowboys to go 0-16.

This loss was humiliating but going 0-16 is on another completely different level of suckage.

Yeah he never defended any of them the way he has WP.

He isnt making a change. We're stuck with them all I think.

And when Jerry Jones talks about "continuity" as the reason for keeping Wade Phillips, he is talking about Jason Garrett as Head Coach.

No doubt about it.

Like I said in another thread, IMO the Lions didnt have the worst season in football, we did.

If your going to keep a "softie" like WP you need to have the OC and DC ready and able to put a foot up his players backsides. You also need to have a HC that can see the need to be tough and allow his coordinators to crack the whip. Unfortunately, WP doesn't see the need for this and Im not sure Garrett or Stewart would be up to the job.

That moment where Wade called for the punt and Tony chased the punting team from the field - said it all for me.

Even though I agree with Tony's rationale for wanting to go for it - Wade is supposed to be the HC. I'm pretty sure Tom Landry, Jimmy Johnson, or Bill Parcells would have called a timeout at that point, pulled Romo over to the side - and ripped him a new one.

But Wade just stood over on the sideline mumbling. No guts whatsoever.

When a team doesn't have a strong leader on the field - they darn sure better have a tyrant leading from the sidelines. Which is the absolute antithesis of Wade.

I think Phillips is a likeable guy. But that very trait is what makes him a liability as a Head Coach. When the Indians begin to wander off the reservation, Wade seems unable to reel them in.

But it appears we are stuck with him for another season. So I can only hope we catch more breaks on the injury front next year. Because this team will not fare well if faced with much adversity.
