Owner Jerry Jones made a morning visit to the Cowboys headquarters, surveying his team's demolished indoor practice facility.
According to Morning News photographer Tom Fox, Jones arrived at the wreckage about 8:45 p.m. joining a couiple of the rookie players. Jones walked the length of the facility by himself, hands in his jean pockets, grimly inspecting what was left after a microburst with 60-70 mph winds demolished the facility about 3:30 p.m. Saturday, sending 12 people to the hospital.
The owner had been in Louisville for the Kentucky Derby and cut short his visit to fly back to Dallas on Saturday night.
After seeing first-hand what had happened, Jones walked back into the Cowboys headquarters, and then departed by car later in the morning.
Later, coach Wade Phillips also viewed the debris.Other than that, it's fairly quiet at the maingate. The final practice of rookie minicamp was canceled, with a morning meeting scheduled instead. Fans are also stopping by back fence of the headquarters to take photos.
Media are beginning to arrive as well.
