Jerry Jones said the Cowboys have no plans to add anybody to the front office before the draft. And they might not ever replace former VP of college and pro scouting Jeff Ireland now that he's left to take the Miami GM gig.


Jerry pointed out that he has a director of college scouting (Tom Ciskowski) and a director of pro scouting (Brian Gaine) still on the payroll.


"So I don’t know that we need to replace Jeff," Jerry said.


Funny, I was under the impression that the job Ireland did around these parts was pretty important.

Actually it leaves both guys open to take VP positions equal to Ireland's with other teams because they will be promotions.

Stephen Jones does most of the wheeling and dealing anyhow, Jerry really does delegate most of the football operations, he does the business front himself however.

The problem with winning is your competitors tend to try to walk off with anything or anybody that isn't lashed down.

Most of Dallas' moves recently have been solid if not golden. I think they will emerge form the loss of Ireland just fine.
