Jimmy Johnson at Cowboys practice

Former coach Jimmy Johnson is attending Tuesday's practice.

He is having a good laugh with Dave Campo about something. Terence Newman perhaps? He is also chatting with Russell Maryland, who is also attending practice.

Quarterback Tony Romo is taking snaps in the pre-practice part of the workout. He looks to be moving around OK with that back injury.

Tight end Jason Witten is at practice as well after missing the Monday walkthrough. We will know later if he does everything or not. The same goes with cornerback Mike Jenkins.
The players are not in pads or shells for the practice. Not a surprise given the quick turnaround.

Roy Williams' response to LaRon Landry

On Monday Washington safety LaRon Landry said Cowboys wide receiver Roy Williams played scared on Sunday among other things.

On Tuesday, Williams was asked about those comments.

"God bless the individual, the young man, we love him," Williams said. "He's coming off a tough less to the Dallas Cowboys so I guess that's what he had to say. I'm going to continue to play my game and move on, got a win under my belt and I'm smiling."

So was he running his routes differently as Landry suggested?

"I'm running across the middle, stretching out, trying my best to catch the football," Williams said, "so if that's scared, let me know."

Considering the Commanders lost, were the comments inappropriate?

"Not at all," Williams said. "When you've won two or three games that's what happens. It's just frustration with himself, with the team and the way things have been going. You envy others on winning ballclubs doing the things they're supposed to do. I'm just going to continue my job. God bless the young man, him and his family and his football team."

RW is a joke.

If he is "sacred" then it's because 9 has baout gotten him killed 3 times on passes that expose him across the middle. Good response though, thanks for not taking the bait 11.

Roy Williams responds to LaRon Landry
November, 24, 2009 Nov 24 1:13PM CT

By Calvin Watkins

IRVING -- Following Sunday's Cowboys-Commanders game, Commanders safety LaRon Landry said Cowboys wide receiver Roy Williams played scared.

Well, Williams responded to those comments before Cowboys' practice on Wednesday.

"You get frustrated with yourself and your team and the way things are going and you envy others who are on winning ballclubs and are doing things they're supposed to do," Williams said. "So, I'm just going to continue to do my job. God bless the young man, him and his family and his football team. I don't buy into the comments, I don't do anything, just going to continue to play our game."

That seems to be a problem for the Cowboys of late. Coach Wade Phillips was questioned about Williams' playing status on Monday and dismissed any notion he would bench the wide receiver.

But Williams had zero catches on Sunday and for the most part has played inconsistent since the Cowboys traded for him last season.

"I was a little upset with the way [the passes] was coming to me a little bit," Williams said. "I did my best to stretch out, lean and fall and do all kinds of things to catch a ball, but you're going to have those types of games. I've never had a zero reception game where I've played the whole game, but we came out with the win, and that's what I told my teammates."

Williams said his ribs are fine and that he's not worried about going over the middle to catch a pass. There is this perception that Williams won't stretch out over the middle of the field to catch a pass. On Sunday against the Commanders, Williams failed to make three high balls, two of which with defenders near him.

"If that was the case, I'd have alligator arms going across the middle twice," Williams said regarding his bruised ribs. "But I'm not like that. I'm a guy that goes across the middle and catches the ball if I can, you know, and the one that they're giving me a drop on because it hit both my hands, it hit my fingertipes, but Im barely hanging onto the ball, that would have been a tough catch if I would have caught it."

You know I cringe when I read Roy's quotes because it seems like he sticks his foot in his mouth. But he nailed it this time. :lol

I guess since Strahan went to the Giants to give a pep talk, his co worker Jimmy decided to come to Dallas and give them one. :D

Wait till you listen to the rest of his interview. Says when Romo throws high to Austin, it’s Tony fault. When Romo throws high to him...it’s his fault.
