Barry Horn http://www.***BANNED-URL***/blogs/images/email-icon.jpg E-mail http://www.***BANNED-URL***/blogs/images/email-icon.jpg News tips
Jimmy Johnson, TV critic, on Fox's pre-game show: "(The Cowboys) are a sloppy, sloppy football team. Their fundamentals are poor. They should have been practicing the fundamentals in training camp rather than being TV stars for Hard Knocks. And I'll say this to Jerry, 'Don't tell me about 13 wins in the regular season. The fans want to know about playoffs."'
Pam Oliver's line of questioning to Jerry Jones during Fox's pre-game show: "Is your team a mess?; What on earth makes Roy Williams worth $45 million?; "Is it time to cut ties with Adam Jones? You asked him to do one thing and he couldn't do it." Maybe she is thinking of auditioning for a prosecutor's role on a network series.
No sideline reporter at any network delivers the goods better than Cowboy radio's Kristi Scales behind the Cowboys bench. She was ahead of Fox all Sunday one the nicks-and-brusies beat.
Maybe we should permanently cross Bill Cowher off the list of potential future Cowboys coaches. During CBS' pre-game show, he didn't exactly sound like he was wanting to work for Jerry Jones. "You've got to have one voice. In this situation you have Jerry Jones who is on the sideline when they're winning. When they're losing he is talking to the team, talking about the status of the quarterback and Wade Phillips has to listen to Jerry because right now (Wade) has to know what (Jerry's) saying as well. But even Wade has his own issues."
