Keith Davis to visit Kansas City

Free agent safety and special teams ace Keith Davis will visit Kansas City Thursday.

Davis led the Cowboys with 20 special teams tackles last season and started eight games.
There are several other teams interested but visits haven't been finalized.

"He's open to just playing football," Davis' agent Curtis Stephens said. "He's always open to playing for the hometown [Cowboys] team."

The Cowboys can't afford to lose Davis. He's one of the toughest players on the team and he brings leadership in the locker room. The fact Kansas City wants to speak with him tells you everything right there.

Todd Haley, who was the passing game coordinator in Dallas for a few years, knows what Davis means to a special teams unit. Haley knows special teams is important to a teams success.

I think Keith is getting a sense of his price and we likely are going to try to match whatever he gets offered

This guy is an annual soap opera. How many do the Cowboys need?

In what way?

He's a serious leader on ST and a willing fill in on D.

We need more guys like Keith, not fewer.

Maybe it would help if they would just sign him for more than 1 year at a time:star:
