A lot of you don't think much of Tony Romo.

The tone of your posts and the calls to replace him with Jon Kitna two weeks deep into the season tipped me off.

For a moment, let's put aside the argument of whether you're right or wrong. I think you're wrong, by the way, but I digress.

No matter how defecient you believe Romo to be, no matter how much you're convinced the Cowboys need another quarterback, you must concede this: he will never go 2-of-17 for 23 yards in a game as Cleveland's Derek Anderson did over the weekend.

Can we at least agree on that?

We have a bunch of morons in our world. Let's let them have their fun, while we sit back and watch what's *really* going on in the world of football.

Tons. The Cowboys' fan-base continually amazes me by it.

I can't even imagine Drew Henson going 2 for 17...let alone Tony. Something is seriously wrong with Cleveland.

And they still won :laugh2:

I like Romo a lot, but JMO thats a terrible argument. Might as well say he is better than quincy

I've never called for Kitna to replace Romo, but to not be critical of a qb who has had two really bad games out of five would be foolish as well. This blog is goofy...pointing out how bad Derek Anderson helps as much as pointing out how great Eli Manning has looked thus far.

If we end playing the Browns in the Super Bowl then I REALLY like our chances.

Unfortunately, that is the truth.

However, in the lunatic fringe defense they are only products of what they read and hear. I have an unconfirmed hypothesis that if the DMNs and ESPNs of the world distributed better information would result in a better, smarter class of fans. Don't laugh, I can dream. :)

True. In fact, a few of them predicted a 12-4 season. Don't make me name names. As for Mr. Moore, I can only assume it's a slow news day.

I don't think anyone predicted the defense to be this bad. And if they weren't this bad, even just average (not to mention the above average defense that almost everyone predicted), we'd be 5-0 right now.

Well Woodysgirl,

I would tend to agree with you on that note, I happen to think Tony Romo with the proper direction and support, can be a dynamic passer, and his mobility makes him twice as hard to defend against.

Here's what I really think though, I think Tony Romo has the worst QB coach in the NFL in Wade Wilson, he was after all a career backup to plenty of good QB's, same holds true for Jason Garrett, basically he was a career back up to Troy Aikman, and Phil Simms or Jeff Hosteler(sp), and their "on field" experience was in a mop up garbage time role most of the time.

Tony is going to be a great one, if we get the proper QB coach there to guide him and get in his grill when he has his brain fart moments on the field.

Right now I don't see that happening, Jason Garrett is too wrapped up in calling plays to teach in between series, or at least go over his keys with him during a game, I don't see that at all. It's easy to blame Romo, because most people really don't understand what it takes to excel in the Pro league without the benefit of great hands on coaching.

Tony has proven his raw talent and his coach-ability, IF he only had the coach who was right for him. Bill Parcells was his mentor, and he's gone.

It's time to can Wade Wilson and bring in a hands on guy to guide, mentor and teach, IMO. I don't think Wilson is doing a very good job now or in the future... Just my two cents.

Well, that's the thing with predictions: they tend to blow up in your face. The only thing lamer is using a gimp like Anderson as a measuring stick for Tony.
