I find it interesting he thinks Orlando can not make any mistakes and he can. Specifically towards being the starter. If he is smart then he will change his mind set to that he can not slip at all because Scandrick will take his spot.

Only works that way if Scandrick doesn't make any mistakes. And if that is the case, Mike should be right.

I see the kid doesn't lack for confidence. Courage on the field, yes, but not confidence.

I certainly want both Jenkins & Scandrick to come through. We need them both be it starter or nickel.

I like Jenkins size but I probably prefer Scandrick's attitude. Jenkins attitude comes off as young and immature which can show up on the field as well. Folks will claim that CB's need to be cocky but you can be confident and humble at the same time.

To me, that is what Ware and Witten are. Confident & humble. You rarely hear them drawing attention to themselves. Their play does that for them,. They are both also consummate team guys IMO. I'll take more of that attitude all day long. Newman is pretty close to that as well.

I don't begrudge Jenkins being concerned about whether he starts or not. But when he talks I prefer he'd talk about team.

You are right. I read it again. I missed the word not when reading it which 100% changes the meaning

I see no problem with what Jenkins is saying. He knows he's got Scandrick breathing down his neck. If he half ***** it or doesn't work hard he'll be taken down a notch on the depth chart.

Scandrick's major role last year was in the slot... that's where you'd often find your 3rd CB. Doesn't really matter whether he or Jenkins are "starting" -- both are going to play a lot.

Yea but that was because we had Henry on the other side. But with him gone i think Newman can play the slot, he has the size and speed for it and he has done it in the past. Id like the kids on the outside, they are much more aggressive against the pass and the position is a little easier.

That Pick6 Jenkins had against the Giants is a glimpse of the kindof plays he can make and Scan has been outstanding. He is a star in the making.

My meaningless prediction (according to Adam) is Scan wins the starting job and Jenkins plays on the other side when Newman is in the slot.

TNew will take the slot depending on how the other team runs the plays. usually he will take the top WR on third downs. Makes sense when you have a top 5 CB= why waste him on a #3 WR?

Hate to say it but.... Jenkins and Scandrick will be starting in some games this years... I will be shocked if Newman stays healthy all year..

they call them all 1000 and 2000 levels now

because kids didn't feel like 100 was good enough anymore and egos needed to be stroked.

you old man you

Off topic but the 1000 and 2000 designations brings to mind a great experience recently with my 3 year old Granddaughter. She was playing with my cat's motorized rat and she called it the Rat Runner 3000. I asked her mom where she came up with that. Her mom said she watches Wow Wow Wubzy and there is an inventor in the cartoon that always names her inventions Moon Rocket 3000 or whatever the invention is supposed to be. It's always designated the 3000.

Hopefully Mike "Ole" Jenkins is working on his tackling. I can't seem to get his non-attempt at tackling of Derrick Ward out of my mind.

No i think he has it right, what i think he meant and correct me if im wrong OP is that while he CAN make mistakes, they wont really matter cause he cant fall any farther than he already is. So basically he can actually make them but kinda like he cant make any in the eyes of the coaches because hes already not starting.........if that makes any sense :laugh2:
