The Cowboys have added quarterback Jeff Terrell on a tryout basis to take some of the load off Richard Bartel over the weekend. Terrell spent time last year with Kansas City after leading Princeton to an Ivy League title in 2006.
Offensive coordinator Jason Garrett starred at Princeton and may have dipped back to his Ivy League ties to bring in a QB for the weekend. Terrell threw for 4,166 yards with 27 touchdowns and 24 interceptions at Princeton.
UPDATE: Garrett and Terrell even went to the same high school, University High School in Hunting Valley, Ohio. And I believe Garrett's older brother, Jim, coached Terrell, too.
In other Ivy League/Cowboys related news, Harvard offensive tackle Andrew Brecher did not sign with the team after failing his physical with a back condition.
