Frankly, I don't care which network gets the game.WoodysGirl;2686022 said:The other day I mentioned the reasons I believe the Cowboys opener in their new home will be on NBC.

That would freaking suck to get stomped in the first game at the new stadium.
Yeah that and the fact that the Indianapolis Colts had there season opening game on NBC when they opened thier new stadium.WoodysGirl;2686022 said:8:39 AM Thu, Mar 12, 2009 | Permalink

The other day I mentioned the reasons I believe the Cowboys opener in their new home will be on NBC.
To recap: I think Jerry Jones, who is a big man on the TV committee and in NFL circles in general, would want to play in a time slot when no other team is playing and he would choose NBC over ESPN because NBC draws lots more eyeballs.
Then a voice came from deep within Valley Ranch, weighing in the subject. The voice pointed out that NBC employs the venerable Al Michaels and John Madden while ESPN has relative new kids on the block Mike Tirico, Tony Kornheiser and Ron Jaworski. The voice pontificated that Jones would choose "venerable" over "new kids" to help usher in his new pride and joy any day of the week.
"Madden and Michaels are the NFL," the voice offered.

Opening vs the Commanders would be absolutely classic wouldn't it?
Beast_from_East;2687427 said:We would never, never, never, never, never, never hear the end of them crowing over beating us in the first game at the stadium.
Toooo risky for me, especially considering we lost at home to the Commanders last year.

Nah, I am mentally preparing myself for some team to come in and open our new diggs by stomping our butts, peeing on our Star, and taking our women.
I can't wait.
SkinsFan28;2687471 said:I am sure we would be happy to oblige (except the Star part, too much respect for that, and well, have ya seen Jessica lately, you can keep her.)
