Nearly every practice in San Antonio has featured a spectacular play by Martellus Bennett. It has also featured something else:

Courtney Brown getting beat deep.

It happened again Sunday morning. The cornerback who gave up a 47-yard reception in the pre-season loss to Oakland gave up a 53-yard touchdown to Kevin Ogletree. This came three plays after Brown was beaten for 25 yards by another receiver.

They all have beaten Brown. Take your pick.

The fans at the Alamodome have taken notice.

"Keep running to the showers,'' one fan screamed after Brown was beaten by Ogletree. "Your days here are numbered.''

Yes, it's been a rough camp for Courtney Brown.

Cowboys don't have any plans for open roster spot

The Cowboys have an open roster spot after cutting NT Tim Anderson yesterday, but they don't feel a need to fill it with first cuts a couple of weeks away.

"There's no particular situation that we're in the hunt for Red October," Jerry Jones explained, throwing in a random movie reference for some reason.

Brown has shown nothing. He'll be among the last cuts however purely for depth purposes in the rest of TC and the pre season games to keep our starers fresh

I agree. he hasn't shown that he can do the job. No sense in keeping him around when we could be looking at other guys. Same goes for Pat Watkins too. He is a terrible safety and is a penalty machine on ST's..if he is on the team I bet he gets no less than three personal foul penalties this year on ST's..... he is a chump..which is sad because I liked the pick when it was made....oh well.

I will never understand why we don'tget Pac Man, he was light years better than these guys as back up..but then again TO is light years ahead of Roy W..

Give me McAlister or Mckenzie please. Brown is just simply not good.
Chris McAlister is done. His knee is shot and he simply can't run anymore.

Because of his history and the Cowboys trying to clean the image of the franchise.

Brown was asked to move to Cb to test his ability to play both DB spots.

It is clear he can't but I see no reason to harp on his getting beat.

TMac needs to move on to other topics.

Someone was hounding Wade about Brown in the presser. That's silly. He's a kid, he isn't very good. Pick any of 20 guys about to be cut and it's the same thing.

Times like this I miss BP who would ask the media if they can cover and tell them to shut the heck up if they can't.

Adam Jones had his golden opportunity as a Dallas Cowboy and promptly crapped all over it... while under paid supervision. That ship has sailed and it's not returning to port.

Terrell Owens has been the better of the two wide receivers. He may still be, but is he 'light years ahead'? Of course not. :madden:
