Yippee, looks like they don't throw a lot of flags. Maybe they won't help the Cowboys self destruct.

I wouldn't count on that

Whenever the Cowboys play, the flags fly. Hostile actually posted a historical breakdown of the Cowboys' total penalties for each season dating back to the franchise's inception. We've historically been more penalized than the average of the league since 1961.

I'll try to find the post and quote it here. It should be a sticky in the History Zone, in my opinion.

Edit: I'd like to apologize it wasn't Hostile, it was Gryphon. Still a good post and a good thread.

The Dallas Cowboys have been penalized more then their opponent in 38 of their 49 seasons. They have been penalized 3,811 yards more then their opponent in regular season to date. In playoff competition , the Cowboys have been penalized 597 more yards then their opponent which includes being minus 299 penalty yards in eight Super Bowls. Their opponent was penalized less in all eight bowl games. Incredibly Dallas actually played in two straight Super Bowls without one penalty called on their opponent? SB VI Miami, 0 penalties and SB X Pittsburgh 0 penalties. That is crazy. It would never happen. In all games, the Cowboys are minus 4,408 penalty yards more then their opponent? Over 44 football fields!? Theres bias towards the Cowboys. From 1961 to 1979, Dallas was penalized more then their opponent every season? Is that possible for 19 straight seasons!? lol, thats absolutely absurd. Here are the seasons and yards..... .

61 - -65

62- -70

63- -148

64- -171

65- -227

66- - 46

67- -78

68- -94

69- -160

70- -202

71- -305

72- -255

73- -246

74- -46

75- -76

76- -118

77- -134

78- -33

79- -41 Hmm, thats 2,515 yards more then their opponent?

Even the biggest critic of my statements that some officials are bias towards the Cowboys would know this 19 year streak is not going to happen. What are the odds!? Seriously? Combine that with the fact that Dallas played in five Super Bowls in that period and were penalized more in every game. While you are at it, Dallas was penalized more then Green Bay in both championship games in 1966 and 67. lol At what point do you wonder? Don't look now but the Cowboys including preseason have been penalized more then their opponent in ten straight games and were -351 yards in penalties which led the league. Like death and taxes, if a Cowboy fan sees a flag, its bad news. History shows it. I got the numbers from the Cowboys official site.
