From Brandon George:
Cowboys coach Wade Phillips said after the game that he might re-evaluate his plan this week to rotate starts at right cornerback for Orlando Scandrick and Mike Jenkins.
Scandrick struggled in pass coverage Sunday night against the Giants. He said he let his team down by tackling poorly and committing mental errors. Jenkins was solid last week in a start in the Cowboys' win over Tampa Bay.
"We are going to look at it and see," Phillips said. "We evaluate every week as to how players are playing, and we didn't cover [Giants receiver Steve Smith] at all the whole game."
Several times, Cowboys cornerback Terence Newman was matched up against Smith. Scandrick had most of his trouble trying to defend Giants speedy receiver Mario Manningham.

When the Giants have two receivers - Mario Manningham and Steve Smith - put up more than 100 yards receiving, you can't say anything good about the coverage. And Terence Newman didn't try to make any excuses.
"We didn't hold up our end," Newman said.
As Orlando Scandrick walked out of the locker room, he had an exasperated look on his face and his hands were clinched on the top of his head. In his first start with the base defense, Scandrick struggled. So did Newman, was beaten deep once and flagged for pass interference another time.
"He didn't play good, I didn't play good," Newman said. "Today. OIt's the second game o fthe season. They beat us. The did some things, but we fought. We fought. We're not bad corners. We didn't play good."
