That is only when he is covering Roy Williams. :)

In all seriousness here, maybe hes better in a limited roll. I've never seen him miss this many tackles or get juked out of his jock straps this badly.

Damn, I thought Scandrick's greatest strengths were his TACKLING and HITTING.

despite all the crying and overreaction, Scandrick did manage to make 6 good unassisted tackles last night, most in the open field. He was not afraid to hit anybody last night and generally got down in good position. There was the one run to the outside where he was out of position and then Manningham I think beat him. But overall he is a pretty solid tackler. I thought Mike Jenkins also made a couple of good tackles last night although he also missed one.

For the life of me I can't figure out what Hamlin does well.

he has pretty good range and generally doesn't get lost in coverage although he did a couple times last night. Sensabaugh did too once or twice. Unfortunately Eli really made them pay almost every time they made a mistake.

Yeah, that's what I was saying. Those 2 things are probably his best assets.

Yea honestly? The defense can play better but they didn't play terrible. Its just whenever they *** up Eli made them pay. Except in the redzone. I Wonder how much credit to go to them for their redzone defense? Or should we give Giants the credit for their own trouble in the redzone?

Ugh, he hasn't been helping too much on the deep ball. And that safety blitz to Jacobs was horrible. He just froze and did nothing.

yea i play corner, and i agree...the only other thing he could have done

is just keep running forward with his head str8 like a ******* or move out of the way, he turned and looked, and steve jumped all over him

Its a dumb *** rule. I'd like to hear their reasoning for what Newman should do in that situation. Its not why we lost by any means but just when you think the 'Boys are about to make a stand on defense that crap gets called.

Those 2 were very visible mistakes by Hamlin but aside from those? I didn't have much problem with his play. But we do need to prevent these mistakes from happening. I think our secondary as talent. They show it. They showed it at times last night. But these careless mistakes are happening and last night we got KILLED.

I wish they would press more. Sometimes they'll come up to the line and they won't even engage with their hands. That ticks me off like no other. Whats the point of doing that if you are just going to run with them? They need to jam and disrupt timing or perhaps even RE-ROUTE the WR.

I still don't understand why they don't press more. I've been asking for that since last season. I don't know what they need to see with these corners in order for them to press.

Wade says he gets the secondary lined up properly. We pay someone 5 million a year for that?

I don't give a flip who starts at CB for this team. I don't care where they were drafted, how much $ they make, or what they think their reputation ought to be.

And I surely don't care whether they think they deserve to start or not or whether it might hurt their feelings if their teammate starts in front of them. I don't care if they or anyone else considers them to be a "shut-down" corner. top 5 or pro bowl worthy.

I thought this was supposed to be about team.

Color me thoroughly unimpressed with our entire secondary despite the investment of millions of $ and plenty of draft picks.

What is loss in all of the crying and gnashing of teeth is how the team is holding themselves accountable. This should bode well for the rest of the season. I am still amazed that we were in it until the end with 4 turnovers. Hopefully, we can start playing complete games here on out, instead of sporadic performances from the O and D.

I like the responses to the loss from this team.

I generally find them annoying but I have to admit my inner child gets a kick out of some of them.
