Prime Time's prediction for Roy Williams: 'All hell is gonna break loose'

Deion Sanders, who has been blasting Roy Williams since the day the blockbuster deal went down with Detroit, didn't let up on the coachable WR during an interview with Fox 4.

After mentioning how much T.O. was hurt by his release, Prime Time tore into the Cowboys' new No. 1 receiver again.

"Roy would have never been questioned really if T.O. had still been here," said Deion, who wondered why Jerry Jones didn't trade for proven commodities Chad Johnson or T.J. Houshmandzadeh. "Now that T.O. is gone - 'Oh, Roy, what have you done?!' The fans are going to see it, and I tell you what, by week 7 or 8, all hell is gonna break loose or all these questions are gonna be answered. I know what's gonna happen: All hell is gonna break loose."

Prime Time also criticized Tony Romo as the Cowboys season swirled down the drain and immediately afterward, but he gave the franchise quarterback a back-handed compliment in this interview.

"Tony has the utensils to be one of the best quarterbacks in the game," Deion said. "I don't know if he has the receivers to be the best quarterback in the game."

I hope Deion is wrong about Roy...but I don't think so. We'll see.

I disagree with Deion, I think Roy will be a very good WR playing on a very good team with a very good QB something Roy has not seen since he has been in the NFL.

We'll see how motivated RW really is. My God, any man would be pretty PO'd by Irvin, Aikman, Deion all callling him out....he won't lack for motivation IMO. I think he can get it done, but the proof is in the proverbial puddin'.

"Coachable", "utensils"...what is this crap?
These people get paid good money to spew this stuff.
I regret every time I read Sanders' comments.

I think Deion is too busy pimping one of his friends. Even if he's right, the way hes gone about it is wrong. He seems to pimp his friends regardless.

I agree. I dont understand all the backlash against Roy. He has said some suspect things. But I would like to see him and Romo with a full TC etc and then throughout a full season.

There are more than enough pieces to have a really good team. I just dont know if there are enough ingredients with all that meat and potatoes.

I am so sick of hearing Deion Sanders' opinion on this franchise.

Nobody's opinion means less to me.

This is hysterical.

Roy had plantar fascias last season and could hardly cut, so his route running and explosiveness were gone.

He is in the Plaxico mold as far as game styles, and the Giants did pretty well with a run based offense with him as their number one receiver. Well, we have the best TE in the game as our number one, and Roy is the perfect possession receiver to move the chains. Throw in some home run speed and a 21ypc average in Miles Austin, and we'll be just fine on offense.

We are going to spread the ball around this year, and its going to be beautiful. Romo will be off the charts.

I just think Deion is acting like a baby about his "boy" being let go. I would hate to see what happens in Buffalo when either Lee Evans is getting more catches or that team starts a losing streak. I think that's when we'll see all hell break loose. I personally liked T.O. but I like the Cowboys much better and I will stick with them through this decision. It may not work out with Williams but he has gone to the Probowl. He had to get voted in by his peers and along with the coaches in the league. So a few people must have seen something at some point. I will just take the wait and see approach but I like our chances with Roy.

There are more than enough ingredients boiling in the pot and possibly a few more coming via the draft. The real question is whether the cooks (Wade Phillips and Jason Garrett) will get the recipe right for '09.

This reminds me of all that "Dallas doesn't have a No. 1 receiver talk" when the Cowboys had Keyshawn Johnson and Terry Glenn. Wasn't that Michael Irvin and Deion Sanders doing all that bluster back then?

Glenn and Keyshawn were good enough to win with ... our choice of quarterback was not.

Roy has to prove himself.

Personally I dont think he has the work ethic to warrant his deal or to get better. Guess we shall see.

Although not possible, I would have taken Calvin or Andre Johnson at that price. Fitz wouldnt be possible and 85 and Boldin are not as talented as Roy.

Hope he does well. We need it.

We are missing ingredients on O-line but I was referring to coaches(ingredients). There is only one chef, Jerry.

:shush: According to some, Roy Williams was either 100% healthy last season OR he wasn't really affected by his injury because he said so. ;)
