Remi Ayodele clears waivers

NT Remi Adoyele -- released by the Cowboys on Tuesday to make way for CB Alan Ball to be promoted from the practice squad -- has cleared waivers and is expected to be added to the practice squad shortly.

There's several reason for the flip-flop, one of which could be another team showing interest in Ball, the final Cowboys pick in the 2007 draft. Another, as Wade Phillips said today, is that the team has like Ball all along.

I must have missed Wade's PC when he was talking about Ball . . . .

It's good to see both Ball and C Brown made it to the active roster.

I think all of our 2007 draft picks made the team this year. I'm not sure if that's going to happen next year. We have a much deeper and better team now.

Yep, he said they'd wanted to get Ball up to the squad for quite a while now, and that they thought he had a bright future for us.

He'll probably be inactive, but I wish he could get a chance to play a little bit.

I have to be honest and say I was one who bashed the Ball pick. I'm an Illini fan as well as a Cowboy fan and he showed nothing until his senior season at Illinois. I'm glad to have been wrong for both Alan and the Cowboys.
