Tony Romo finished fourth in the Racine Tri Course Amateur Championship over the weekend back in Wisconsin. Romo won the event a couple of years ago with a final-round charge, but this year he had no such luck.

Romo shot a final-round 75 at Racine Country Club to finish seven shots behind Bendt Bendtsen III. Romo's father, Ramiro, who shot an opening round 71, two shots better than his son, finished tied for 18th.

The tournament play should help Romo at this weekend's American Century Championship at Lake Tahoe. This will be Romo's first time playing the famed tournament, but he's got the game to compete. Let's hope he doesn't look at Charles Barkley's awful swing.

Being the loser I am, I am very interested in what brand of club he is using.

I couldn't make it out.

Either way, its not exactly what I use. Bad Tony Romo. Hooray Cleveland 558 Tour Action Sand Wedge with Gun Metal Finish!

He should be concentrating on football. :p: ;)

I know your just kidding but he has not missed a single workout this year. I wish some others could do as good of a job of balancing their personal lives and professional lives as Romo has.

It's not golf it's Carrie Underwood or hot Miss Universe contestant....

And as busy as Romo schedule has been he still manages to attend all of the workouts mandatory and voluntary. Yet we have some others who show up only when they have too.

Yeah, to each his own though. We shall see when the season starts. I mean guys like T.O., Terry Glenn, Julius Jones have been on display for a while so I don't blame them for not showing up for voluntary camps.

I do, this team has not won jack in years and commitment right now I think matters. I'm tired of the selfish acts of players, and I do expect them to put in the work along with teammates. No one is saying you can't enjoy the fruits of your labor, god knows Romo has enjoyed himself and yet shows a true commitment to this team by being at all these workouts.

Bendt Bendtsen?

And there are three of them?

It's Wisconsin, that quality Nordic name is probably as popular as John Smith there.

It's also the name of a prominent Danish politician.

I think more players should look into taking up golf during the offseason

Romo, play as much golf as you want.

People get too uptight about what guys do during their time off.

I have come in to work when they needed me I have rearranged vacation time because they needed me here so yes I have made sacrifices. All I'm getting at is these guys do get a lot of time off and are able to go and do many things during the off-season. Now if Romo can make it to the workouts then I don't see why anyone else can't it is called commitment to winning when players think winning is important and are willing to do whatever it takes to get to the top. You act as if I'm saying they should have no personal live and that is not the case but as busy as Romo schedule has been and yet he still makes it yes I expect no less from the others, they are paid damn well to give their all and as a fan I expect no less than that. If you feel different fine but winning does not happen by accident it takes hard work.
