I can't wait until Roy shuts all the haters up about how marginal of a receiver he is. The dude is going to be a great one for some time to come, starting this year.

She is an almost 50 year old woman.

I think she looks great.

Oh i think she's attractive, she just looks a little heavy. I had no idea she was that old though...least she's not roaming around naked in hotels. :)

I like his attitude. I loved Aikman, Irving Emmit and Prime Time just as much as anybody else, But they're all starting to get on my nerves. Roy is the number 1 and thats that. Its funny how people are questioning him and some of you guys are to, but most of you wanted this dude last year. Let him produce first then question him.

I never joined in the myth that she was anything but average as a broadcaster and just a skinny version of Oprah. She is actually kind or scary.

She is no Jayne Kennedy.

Pam Oliver is a very good broadcaster and interviewer. And Oprah is one of the most powerful women in the world. So what's the problem?

I'm actually starting to feel bad for Roy W. Most people wanted T.O. gone..yet they now question if Roy will preform as well as T.O. The answer is simple, No he will not put up T.O. numbers.
He is not going to demand the ball all the time from Romo like T.O did. This is suppose to be for the better...Romo spreads the ball around more , we run the ball more etc.
I want to see the Team click well together as a team! I'm done stressing about what one player is or is not going to be able to do. I'm ready to see them spread around the ball and not have practically everyone they play know what their next play call is going to be.

OK, you kiss Oprah. Enjoy.
But it really seems like you are the one with the problem.

I like roy Williams more every single day...I went from doubting him to thinking He might be better then I thought. He has a great mind set and honeslty looks like he will get those hard yards and catches. He will move the chains...We never had a guy besides Crayton in the wr position to move the chains. T.O was wide open catch type of wr.

Um, I don't kiss other women. Not how I roll. I was just defending two professional, successful women who deserve better than to be reduced down to a description of "fat" when they have achieved so much. It's a woman thing.

Roy 11's first 5 seasons:

http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/W/WillRo04.htm

Roy 11's Totals: 218 receptions 4082 yards 30 tds

TO's first 5 seasons:

http://www.pro-football-reference.com/players/O/OwenTe00.htm

TO's Totals: 318 receptions 4758 yards 43 tds

Just for comparison purposes. A few notes: TO had Steve Young thowing to him, on a very good San Fran team and was not th #1 receiver until Rice moved on. Roy 11 had Kitna throwing to him on a poor Detroit team and was or was not the #1 receiver, depending on who you ask.

Bonus material:

TO's production in Big D: 235 receptions 3587 yards 38 tds!!! Yowzah!

Now imagine what Roy will be able to do here.

This entire team is a bunch of thin skined players and coaches.

See: Phillips, Wade and Williams, Roy.

Personally I don't see what's wrong with what he said. He should be motivated by it and he should be wanting to work harder and harder to shut people and be able to smile in their face as they have to backtrack on things they said.

Don't let two ugly trees ruin it for the whole forest. How can you say players like Witten, Ware, and Barber are thin skinned?

As for Roy, I would take him ANY day over TO. At least Roy won't be crying to Romo when he decides to throw to an open Witten/Bennett/Crayton instead of feeling obligated to throw into double/triple coverage on TO.

You need to lay off the crack pipe if you think Roy will even approach 38 TDs in a 3 season span. NTTAWT. Roy doesn't NEED to be T.O. and, it's a good thing because, he never will be (production-wise).

AND......There is a reason why T.O. doesn't have a ring and probably never will. :)

Roy Williams appreciates all the Cowboys legends who think he sucks

Roy Williams turned an innocuous question about his impressive last week of training camp into a review session of the criticism aimed his way this off-season.

"That's you guys," Williams said. "Once again, I suck as a wide receiver. Any time I catch four or five balls in practice, I took it to another gear. But I'm just the same guy.

"I'm the same sorry wide receiver that Jerry traded for to get out of Detroit. That's me."

Actually, none of the four critics whose comments Williams remembers best were in front of his locker this morning. He specifically mentioned four members of the '90s Cowboys dynasty who now have high-profile media jobs: Troy Aikman, Michael Irvin, Deion Sanders and Darren Woodson.

In one breath, Williams said he finds the criticism funny and doesn't consider it motivational fodder. Moments later, he said he appreciates the Cowboys' legends ripping him because it keeps his head an appropriate size.

"I appreciate it because if you sit around and have to hear how good you are all the dang time, you have to have that Jerry Rice mindset of, 'I'm not good enough,' all that stuff," Williams said. "When I have guys, especially NFL greats and the greatest that played here in Dallas, saying that I can't get the job done and I'm not a No. 1, it makes me feel good.

"It makes me want to go out there and prove to them and everybody else across the world who listens to those guys - because obviously everybody thinks they know it all - that I can do my job."

===

Is there now any question he's abnormally sensitive?

As much as the criticisms need to stop, he needs to get over it.

I really start liking Roy Wiliams.

Don't put words in my mouth. Just look at the stats of both players through the first 5 years of their careers, then consider their situations, then look at what TO did in Big D in 3 years with the team, and then realize that TO came here when he was what, 31? 32?, and Roy's now what 27? and then consider the possibilities of what Roy can become here. That's all I said.
