The Cowboys receivers tapped the brakes on the praise they received after the Tampa Bay win, pointing out it would take more than one good game to quiet critics.

They were right.

"That's fine,'' receiver Roy Williams said. "You can bring up any questions. We're good. We're fine.

"We're still terrible, but we're good.''

Offensive production from the wide receivers will fluctuate week to week. But someone needs to step up each game. A group that combined for 263 yards in the opener couldn't produce a wide out with more than 20 yards against the New York Giants.

It's too early for concern. The Cowboys did score 31 points against the Giants without much help from the receivers. But getting less than 50 yards a game from your wide receivers won't cut it over the course of the season.

"There were plays to be made, we just didn't make them,'' Williams said.
"We'll have another chance this week. We'll see what happens.''

That's the only thing that matters, and 31 points should be good enough.

Shut up media. Just shut up, some of you have no idea what you're talking about.

not to mention you would have to be brain dead to not give credit to our tight ends and wide receivers blocking for all that running. It doesnt happen on accident.

They were a big part of everyone one of those yards. Just like sometimes the running games numbers arent there but the backs have to be excellent in pass rush for the wr and qb to have a good day.

I swear to God, half of this board could do a better job writing about football than some of these idiots.

It wasn't the receivers fault Sunday night... How many times must that be said? Critics should realize that Romo had one if worse nights as a pro QB.
