Stephen McGee won't be running the Wildcat

Jerry Jones mentioned at the owners' meetings that the Cowboys might use their third quarterback in the Wildcat formation, but that isn't the plan for fourth-round pick Stephen McGee.
The Cowboys could still use the Wildcat, but ex-college QBs Isaiah Stanback and Patrick Crayton are the leading candidates to take the shotgun snaps. The Cowboys can't afford to have the third quarterback take up a spot on the 45-man gameday roster since they plan to use fifth-rounder David Buehler as a kickoff specialist.
A&M ran a lot of zone-read option under Coach Fran, and McGee made his feelings about that scheme clear during his conference call yesterday. He said he'd be willing to do whatever the Cowboys asked, but he sees himself as a passer, not a guy who can make linebackers miss.
"I don't see myself as that good of an athlete," McGee said.
