Calvin Watkins just checked in from California to let us know the Cowboys' plane has landed. The team was greeted by kicker Nick Folk.
More to come ...

I just assume it's the guy in the white shirt and leave it that. Guessing anything else takes too much energy.

He's the guy in the white t-shirt with the saggy drawers. Waiting on his teammates.

My god, they took an American Airlines flight? They're lucky to be alive!

Crowd greets Cowboys

Approximately 1,000 fans were waiting for the Cowboys when they touched down in California. Four Cowboys cheerleaders were the first out of the plane, followed by an HBO crew. Head coach Wade Phillips and his son, Wes followed soon after.

Zach Thomas, in his first year with the Cowboys, said he's never seen a scene like this. Numerous fans waited in line for autographs, and Tony Romo obliged them.

Terrell Owens was not on the plane, but there are no issues and he's expected in camp on time.

Cowboys have landed ... and circus has started

The Cowboys arrived in California in style, with hundreds of fans greeting the team upon touchdown at the Point Mugu Naval base.

A Hard Knocks cameraman was the first to deplane, but several cheerleaders followed, wearing full (or half) gear and waving pom-pons. The fans roared for the ladies, but they weren't so loud when Wade Phillips followed. I'm sure it wasn't personal. Wade just isn't nearly as pretty as those cheerleaders.

The players, following strict orders, pretty much stiff-armed the media to go sign autographs. The media filled our notebooks chatting with J.J. Jimenez, whose family made the four-hour drive from Brawley, Calif., with a four-foot popcorn tub in the back of the truck. It's decorated with a certain receiver picture and labeled, "T.O.'s Kabo Korn."

T.O., who attended the ESPY Awards in LA over the weekend, wasn't on the plane. But the Jimenez crew hopes to holler at him over the weekend.

"Our mission is to get T.O.'s attention and have him sign some popcorn from us," Jimenez said.

Much, much more to come. We're in transit to the team headquarters. (Don't worry; Archer is driving.)

I know what you mean. I was able to report on them as a journalism intern when they were in Wichita Falls. This really is one of the most exciting times of the season!

Too late.

In the press conference, Jerry said these things (publicity) have nothing to do with how a guy tackles or carries the ball or something like that. I hope he's right. In any event, it's a lot of fun to be a Cowboys fan.

My brother and I were there...waited an hour before the plane landed. When the players lined up in 6 or 7 sets of lines, most of the fans were lined up for Tony Romo. We didn't get a chance to get an autograph but were were only about 3 feet from him...very normal looking guy.

I don't think too many fans recognized Zach Thomas, including my brother...he just walked down the line looking to sign autographs...I immediately recognized him and asked to sign my cap and had a brief chat with him. Very nice guy and didn't get noticed until people asked me who he was. Got autographs from Flozell and Davis...behemoths I say...I asked Leonard what they fed him...he smiled...very lucky to get photos of him and Flozell together....monster humans!

T.O. wasn't there as had been noted, I also didn't see DWare or TNewman. Sam Hurd said how lucky us locals were to be living here...tempertuare was around 72* with nice cool breeze. Very exciting to see these guys so close.
