T.O. did an interview with 105.3 The Fan's Greg Hill to promote his football camp later this month in Duncanville. They were talking Cowboys by the end of the conversation.
T.O. was complimentary about the receivers that remain on the Dallas roster. He didn't take any jabs at his former quarterback (sniff), either, although T.O. has made it clear that he believes Tony Romo helped get him evicted from Valley Ranch.
The concept of a Romo-friendly offense confuses T.O. That's what Jerry Jones declared the Cowboys planned to have just before T.O. was released.
"I have no earthly idea," T.O. said when asked for his definition of Romo friendly. "Maybe if it was T.O. friendly, maybe I would be still in Dallas.
"I have no earthly idea what Romo friendly means. Maybe whomever gave you that phrase, then maybe they can better explain that. But I have no earthly idea what that could possibly mean."
T.O. didn't see Jason Garrett's scheme last season as being Romo or T.O. friendly.
"It became very simplistic," T.O. said. "As I said, there wasn't a lot of deviation really from week one to week 10.
"I think the things that I said toward the end of the year Romo came out and said toward the end of the year as well. We didn't have any adjustments for what the defenses were giving us. With that being said, that falls into us being simple.
"You know, a lack of execution, that's going to happen with any offense at some point in time during the course of the season. That's easily to be corrected. But when it comes to an offense with the weapons that we had, then we have to take advantage of those situations. I don't think that's what was done."
