Tony Romo and Jason Witten are not participating in today's light practice/walkthrough.


Romo is sick. Witten is nursing a variety of injuries, with his sprained ankle the biggest concern.


Marion Barber is dressed out, but rookie Tashard Choice was taking all the reps with the No. 1 offense. Brad Johnson was at quarterback.

Head coach Wade Phillips told the Philadelphia media via conference call that Romo was sick and would not participate in today's light session. He didn't elaborate on Romo's condition.

Romo has four days to recover for Sunday's pivotal finale against Philadelphia. The Cowboys can clinch a playoff spot with a win.

Tight end Jason Witten also is resting his sprained ankle.

I don't remember him ever missing practice with the flu when Parcels was there, though.

Anybody living in the DFW area knows that with all the extreme weather changes going on, it's not impossible for him to have come down with the flu or something.
