It means we're pining for the return of the Great Quincy Carter!:

Bleu Star;2828199 said:It means exactly what I said. I want to know what we have in our 67 million dollar quarterback of the future. I would prefer to see progression and not another December collapse followed by a ho hum attitude.
Bob Sacamano;2828201 said:so '09 is the year where Romo's career is defined?

Four;2828202 said:it means he still doesn't know, and he thinks tony may very well tank and he just want to stop wondering.
which is kinda silly, imo
Four;2828204 said:I don't think it was a ho hum attitude at all.
so what if the kid has the right perspective on life, that's a good think not a bad thing.
Too many people think tony should react to stuff the way they would, just let him be tony.
I mean last year his dad survived cancer, did he not? I think that could easily have helped tony feel the way he did.
Four;2828207 said:why is it on him? he has outplayed most of the team for some time.
That's what I don't get, he can't catch the balls, right?
Bleu Star;2828205 said:Hopefully.... It's off to a pretty decent start but at some point you have to lead the team into the next phase.. the next rung up the ladder so to speak...
Bleu Star said:uh oh here comes the Romo Protection Brigade. Hold on guys. Let me don my flame retardant suit.
Whiskey Cowboy;2828159 said:Ummm...I think he was joking/being sarcastic
Jack-Reacher;2828228 said:Yeah, I kinda picked up on that, my post wasn't directed at Four necessarily, rather at all of the nonsense that has been posted about Romo not being focused. I wasn't trying to single Four out, I should have been a little clearer about that, so if I offended him I apologize.
I quoted his reply as an example. I guess I should take more time when I reply...lol

Bleu Star;2828213 said:Typical.. He can't catch the balls too... Riiight
He does make every decision on where to throw the ball to and I can count plenty of occasions where he missed the open man as seen on the replay. While I understand that everyone makes these miscalculations, there are plenty of other QBs in the league that make the right call more often than not real time. I like what Tony brings to the table. Perhaps a lot of you are ok with just having a QB that takes us to a nice 8-10 win season every year while the playoffs elude us year after year... I would prefer to see him step it up in the leadership department and have no qualms with saying so.

I don't understand you. What's not to like about this kid? How can you not appreciate how far he's come and how much he's already accomplished?
He's a hard working kid.
How many RFA QB's move up the depth chart to starter? You don't do that without putting in a lot of work, constantly demonstrating that work ethic to the staff.
RFA players don't get any benefit of the doubt. They have to earn it.
All this alone should offer enough proof of Romo's work ethic, but forget that. Let's pretend he was a 1st day pick. A guy how should be good and give him no slack.
You still not happy with his performance. He's the best QB we've had since Aikman in his prime.
From the first day he stepped on the field, our offense did a 180. He's more responsible for our mild success of 2006-2008 than any other player by far.
Ya, I want to win the SB as much as any fan. It's all that matters. But I don't see trying replace a franchise QB in his prime as smart move in that direction.
3. Please show me where I was calling for his head to be replaced...Bleu Star;2828211 said:His perspective in my opinion doesn't matter to me. The thing that matters most to me is wins and the ability to lead this team back into the realm of playoff wins and potentially Lombardi #6. The rest is silly to me.
