It means exactly what I said. I want to know what we have in our 67 million dollar quarterback of the future. I would prefer to see progression and not another December collapse followed by a ho hum attitude.

I don't think it was a ho hum attitude at all.

so what if the kid has the right perspective on life, that's a good think not a bad thing.

Too many people think tony should react to stuff the way they would, just let him be tony.

I mean last year his dad survived cancer, did he not? I think that could easily have helped tony feel the way he did.

so '09 is the year where Romo's career is defined?

Hopefully.... It's off to a pretty decent start but at some point you have to lead the team into the next phase.. the next rung up the ladder so to speak...

uh oh here comes the Romo Protection Brigade. Hold on guys. Let me don my flame retardant suit.

why is it on him? he has outplayed most of the team for some time.

That's what I don't get, he can't catch the balls, right?

It means we're pining for the return of the Great Quincy Carter!:p:

It means greater expectations that come along with yet another year of the privilege to play at the highest level possible for his chosen profession.

it means he still doesn't know, and he thinks tony may very well tank and he just want to stop wondering.

which is kinda silly, imo

 Seriously. Read first then whine.

His perspective in my opinion doesn't matter to me. The thing that matters most to me is wins and the ability to lead this team back into the realm of playoff wins and potentially Lombardi #6. The rest is silly to me.

Typical.. He can't catch the balls too... Riiight

He does make every decision on where to throw the ball to and I can count plenty of occasions where he missed the open man as seen on the replay. While I understand that everyone makes these miscalculations, there are plenty of other QBs in the league that make the right call more often than not real time. I like what Tony brings to the table. Perhaps a lot of you are ok with just having a QB that takes us to a nice 8-10 win season every year while the playoffs elude us year after year... I would prefer to see him step it up in the leadership department and have no qualms with saying so.

I have faith that Romo will be awesome this year, and that we'll be in a position to win at least 1 playoff game because of him, maybe more, but if not, I think Romo will still have plenty of opportunities to do it in the future

Ummm...I think he was joking/being sarcastic

Yeah, I kinda picked up on that, my post wasn't directed at Four necessarily, rather at all of the nonsense that has been posted about Romo not being focused. I wasn't trying to single Four out, I should have been a little clearer about that, so if I offended him I apologize.

I quoted his reply as an example. I guess I should take more time when I reply...lol

Did you miss the 2007 13 win season?

I don't understand you. What's not to like about this kid? How can you not appreciate how far he's come and how much he's already accomplished?

He's a hard working kid.
How many RFA QB's move up the depth chart to starter? You don't do that without putting in a lot of work, constantly demonstrating that work ethic to the staff.
RFA players don't get any benefit of the doubt. They have to earn it.

All this alone should offer enough proof of Romo's work ethic, but forget that. Let's pretend he was a 1st day pick. A guy how should be good and give him no slack.

You still not happy with his performance. He's the best QB we've had since Aikman in his prime.
From the first day he stepped on the field, our offense did a 180. He's more responsible for our mild success of 2006-2008 than any other player by far.

Ya, I want to win the SB as much as any fan. It's all that matters. But I don't see trying replace a franchise QB in his prime as smart move in that direction.

1. Aside from your "I can't believe you don't love Romo as much as me" attitude, I agree with most everything you said.
2. I clearly remember the season in which we fell short in the playoffs. I prefer playoff wins and progression over chance.

3. Please show me where I was calling for his head to be replaced...

Geez.. they have a sale on those rose colored shades or something?

seriously, check the time stamp before you call me a whiner, we posted the same time, and you said the exact same thing I did, so read first, before you get all overly defensive

so him almost losing his dad shouldn't play into his "Ho hum" attitude? So when he says "if losing a football game is the worst thing that happens to me I lived a good life," months after his dad had cancer, you think that has anything to do with his play on the field? was he on the field when he said that or in a presser, pretty sure he wasn't playing when he said that.

you blaming arguably our best player for the deficiencies of the guys around him is the only silly thing going on in this thread.

No rational person watches the games and says tony isn't a good player or a winner.
